My Husband called at 11 this morning and said he wanted to go to Disney World.......in a week and a half. :cool1:  I thought he was kidding but he is very impulsive so we did it. I have never planned for a trip with such little time. Resis, park hours, everything!! I usually had about 10 months of planning for our other trips, I hope we can get resis for any table service at all!! Not complaining though, just caught in a whirlwind right now:banana: . We had this whole trip booked in 1 and a half hours through AAA. I hope this is a good time of year to go.

My husband booked us a trip last week when he got the email about free dining. We are going again in September. We just went in January, and I said we weren't going again for 5 or 6 years....apparently he got years and months confused! lol He is so excited....but 4 months is not as much time to plan as I normally have.

You have no time at all!! haha

But, just relax and enjoy the spontaneous trip. You will have a great time.

:thumbsup2

I can't imagine my hubby ever agreeing to that amt cash outlay on a whim!! He is definately the only reason we won't be in the poorhouse!:rotfl2:

I did last trip with little planning and I went March 24 - April 1 (one of the busiest times!). I've been so many times, I just hit the must do's at every park and left when it got really crowded. Then did the pool and spa at the resort.

Your DH sounds like mine. Back in December, I kept telling him that I wanted to take the kids to Disney. There was always some reason that he didn't want to go. On Tuesday, February 11th, he comes up to me and asks, "What do you think about taking the kids to Disney this weekend?" We ended up calling and making the reservations and arrived on Saturday afternoon. :cool1: We had a great time and managed to get reservations at all the TS places we wanted.

Sometimes the best trips happen when you fly by the seat of your pants.

ya - we have a trip booked for Nov, but I would be very suprised if we wait that long. I keep hinting to my wife that we need to go. If she could stop working.........I might just go myself with the kids!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on your surprise! and for marrying a hubby who spontaneously wants to go:thumbsup2 ...
Good for you! You married well!

Lucky you!

I'd love it if my husband surprised me like that. If he took care of all the arrangements too, I'd marry him all over again! :rotfl:

I wish Dh would do this! You are super lucky!

Our 10th anniversary is this November and I am trying to hint at us renewing our vows and having a "Disney Wedding"....I doubt it will happen, but there's always hope and a little :wizard:

Ok I see you're in Louisville, KY...so are we. You're gonna have to make sure your husband pulls my DH aside and give him some lessons on this.

Oh, and make sure you stop by The Disney Store...we marked down a TON of stuff today and it's an extra 40% off the clearance items, so you can pick up some tees and stuff for your trip! :)

Congratulations!!

Give your DH a big hug from all the women (like me)that wish we had a man like yours! Mine tries to make me wait at least 3 years between visits. Uh...he hasn't convinced me yet :rotfl2:

Hi Michelle!! It was so fun to meet you today!! I hope I didn't look like death today...I woke up with a nasty cold so I was doing my best to look as alive as possible. I'm glad you were able to find some neat things! :)

THANKS!! It was neat meeting you too! And thanks for the tip on the sale!!
You can never have enough Disney tees!!! (Especially at 4.99 or less :thumbsup2 !!)

We had a trip booked for October with my parents. Yesterday we got an email from Spriit with $9 fares. So now we are also going in June.:cool1: We booked round trip, family of five, for $187.:thumbsup2

Nothing like spur of the moment.

Okay it must be "in the air or water"! We were planning a Dec trip and my husband says today, "Why don't we plan a long weekend in June when our son is out of school? Kind of like a good job at school this year trip? I need a Disney fix!" So of course that's all he has to say and I'm on it! I have an email into my AAA person but am going crazy waiting for her to get back to me!! The price on the Disney website is very do-able but I know AAA will be even better!
Were you able to get ADR's for the places you wanted? I was nervous about June so you must have been going nuts?? (matter of speaking of course, not trying to offend!:rotfl: ) Where are you staying? Nice thing about this time of year...airfare is cheap!!
Have a great trip!!!

O.K. Where in the world do you get cheap airfare? We have flown the last two times to DW and it was around $800 for three people. We looked at different flights for this time and still the same price so we are driving (13 hours) I wish someone would give me the secret about CHEAP AIRFARE:confused3
We did not get any meal at Chef Mickey's, or Breakfast at Akershus, or any dinner at restaurants. We scheduled lunches for our table services because everything else was booked. Not a big deal though, we've done all those before so not a great loss. I'm just glad we're going and am very excited. I'll eat counter service all day if I had too:woohoo:

It may be the time of year of your trip that you're not finding good deals on airfare. Up here in NH the end of April is still spring break. Come June though...who wants to go to FL in that heat??? ME!!!! THe hotter the better! I got roundtrip air on Southwest for $382 for three people!!! Now in March, same airline into MCO was $1400!!!! It's all about supply and demand!
