My kids just played our tape of Illuminations. I could not tape it while we were there at DIS CON...to busy with all you guys getting emotional and stuff....I could not tape it when I was at WDW with the family because I kept crying thinking of all you guys and the time we had...SO now I am sitting here again...crying my ever loving eyes out watching this and thinking of the Illumintaions party...the crowning, the people and the moments we shared that night as we all linked arms during illuminations and swayed... Dang it Ms. Mackey...did you have to go tell us to "remeber this moment"? It is etched in my mind.... Great friends, wonderful music and a good times.... I do not think that it will ever be recreated, but we can all have fun trying....

Funny thing, Ms. Glo.....that moment is etched in my memory as well, and I don't think it will go away any time soon. I decidedly get all misty-eyed when I listen to the Illuminations music, and it has transferred over to the Candlelight Processional music as well.

Guess I'm just an old softy.

Glo, Gerri scrimped and saved every last penny for the last 2 years to make it to DIS-Con, so she figures she needs to scrimp and save another 2 years---which puts her smack dab in the middle of DIS-Con III.
Illuminatins IS beautiful, and I will forever remember Marsha saying "remember this moment"...but the one that gets me is the Candlelight Processional. That is when I had my best cry at DIS-Con....and now when I listen to the CD that Steve burned for me, I get all weepy. Looking forward to Illuminations and Candlelight Processional next year.

Ok, you guys have to stop this. This is not helping me at all. I am very vulnerable right now. It's Christmas and there is no family here for us to share it with. I am feeling very lonely and sad. I think it's the time of year to feel extra sappy! I seem to be much more sensitive around the Holidays. Thinking of DIS-CON, the friendships, Illuminations, and everything else isn't making things any better. I miss you all too much!
Look, confession time, it's very lonely here-the members of my family here are busy with their own "thing", leaving mom to herself a lot. I have a great group of girls that I take an exercise class with, but they also lead very involved lives. So I don't really see them outside of the YMCA. Once I'm home, I'm alone. My "so-called" best friend has no time for me after almost 15 years. (don't know what happened there) DIS-Con was the best time for me. The friendships, the laughter, the tears, Jellyrolls, Illuminations, the ToT all mean so much, you can't imagine. That's why these little mini-meets are such a great idea! I can't wait to see you all again. Well, enough of me feeling sorry for myself-back to wrapping the boys gifts!! (hey, just putting this in "writing" has helped!)

Don't feel bad Barb. I'm pretty much in the same boat you are as far as Christmas and family goes. 'Cept for my brother, and he didn't invite me this year. SOOOOOOO, I moaned to Tia and she got me in a good mood. Funny how good friends can really help out.

I forgot to tell everybody that Bandie says MAWF! too, which I think means Merry Christmas. I've decided to bring him to DISCON II next year. The way I figure it, I'll smuggle him into Honey I Shrunk the Audience and, after he's good and shrunk, I'll put him in my pocket for the remainder of the time.

Sounds like a plan to me......
