Tales from the "Mouse" Side -- Our Not So Scary Adventure

Um, YEAH!!!!!!!!! 2 MNSSHP's it is! Yay! Great idea! Hmm, I see a pre-trippie in my near future so that I don't forget any of this stuff!

I want to do some of my TR but Jack wants to be right on top of me.... literally

First off, please forgive some of the crappy pictures in this installment.

So it was our last full day and everyone was just exhausted. We decided to sleep in (again for me that's around 7 a.m.). I packed what I could get packed while Joe slept. He was really feeling sick by this time.

We had ADR's at LeCellier for 11:20 a.m. That was all that I could manage to get.

After Joe got up we decided that we were not going to eat breakfast. We still had tons of food in our room (I'll never get that much stuff again for sure) but with early ADR's we decided that we were not going to eat.

Today was family shirt day and I had hoped that everyone remembered to wear them. I was bummed that I did not get to make more shirts for the trip but I am going to work on them over the winter for next year. I got this one from a DISer on the design board. She does incredible work.

So we picked up the family and headed over to EPCOT. Here we are in our family shirts. Yay!

We received a lot of compliments on our shirts which made me happy. My family gave me the business when I first made them and I wondered if they really would wear them or not.

We made our way over to LeCellier. Gotta love the gardens at the Canadian pavillion.

I was bummed because we still had not done at least half of the World Showcase and it wasn't looking like we were going to get t do it this time either. Joe really wasn't feeling well at all and mom seemed to be right behind him.

We were seated early and our CM was new. Frankly, he was bad. We hardly saw him at all.

Here is a crappy picture of the menu

Then came the bread.

Here is Matt excited as all get out to be here.

Matt and Shelly

Our meals were fabulous. I had to laugh though. There was this "stuff" with our shrimp cocktail (me, mom and SHelly shared one) that was sea weed or something and mom said it tasted like it came from her dirty fish tank. It was NASTY to say the least.

Joe's steak

Mom, Shelly and I had the same thing except mom and I got ours without the finishing sauce.

I got this for dessert and so did mom. Yummy

Here is Joe's

Matt's

This will get ya.....Matt had the filet and he asked for ketchup! :lmao:

After lunch Shelly and Matt headed over to Mission Space. Not what I'd do after eating but whatever. Mom had to use the restroom so Joe and I stayed behind to wait for her. We waited, and waited, and waited...apparently she got LOST inside LeCellier and a CM brought her out to us and then yelled at ME in a nice way of course, for leaving her behind!

We went over to Mouse Gear to look for my sweatshirt and no luck there either. I had to use the restroom so we went over to the Electric Umbrella. Joe figured he'd go too and came out of there will a hilarious story which unfortunately I cannot post here on the DIS but OMG, trust me.

We went back into Mouse Gear again and then decided that we were going to leave EPCOT. I know, we just got there. Everyone was feeling tired and Joe was truly sick so we made our way back to CBR.

To be continued..........the rest of the day.

I just found your report and I am loving it! Sucks that I tuned in at almost the end, but hey, better late then pregnant, I mean never! :lmao: Can't wait to hear the rest!

we should have met up that last day...der. ok.. i want some more please!

I wondered what you guys were doing that day. :confused3

I have a few ideas for shirts and Joe is good in Photoshop so he can help us too. I'll tell ya, there are some super talented DISers on the DISign boards. They do incredible work! They share too which I think is AWESOME!

Di,

We had a great time although I have to say that it was way too hot. I have never experienced that type of heat in September before.

The party was great as always and yes, it will give you a great excuse to go back!

The food was incredible in most places. I was very impressed with BOMA and kicking myself for not going there on previous trips.

Jenn, John and the kids are fabulous. We had a great time with them and are looking forward to going back next year with them. We both booked bounceback and are staying at CSR. I can't wait!

Wow! You're fast! I can hardly keep up. I can't believe you're on your last full day already.

Love the pictures of MNSSHP. I feel like I was there.:goodvibes

Also, glad you all liked LeCellier. Sorry you had a sucky server, though. I'm guessing he didn't get a good tip?

We actually tipped 18% at LeCellier. I felt bad because it was just his second shift. He had just started there. :confused3

MNSSHP was awesome but I am DETERMINED to get a decent picture of the headless horseman next year!

I left off with us leaving EPCOT and heading for CBR. Matt had a bit of homework left to do and Joe wasn't feeling well. Mom was just plain tired so they stayed there while Shelly and I went to DTD.

She changed her family tee-shirt so there I was looking like a dork all by myself because I wasn't about to go all the way to AKL to change.

We went to World of Disney first looking one last time for my sweatshirt and to get her friend's son a gift. We found what we were looking for and headed out. It looked like it was going to rain, something we saw very little of while we were there, but we didn't care. We went over to Ghiradelli and she got an iced coffee. That to me is disgusting but oh well........

From there we went back to Goofy's to check on the amount of snack credits (I had 13 left!!!!!!!!!) we both had left and to get me a caramel apple. I ALWAYS bring one of those babies home and I was not about to let this be an exception. I got my sister a chocolate covered strawberry and we were on our way.

We got back to CBR and it was raining a tiny bit. We discussed dinner and the decision was that we'd go to the Mara again. No need to discuss what I wanted from there! I have no clue what we ate except I remember that Joe was not hungry because of how sick he was so he just went to the room. After we ate Matt wanted to swim so my sister went to change and mom and I took him to the pool. Wanna see a trick that we saw about a zillion times? :lmao:

CIMG3792.jpg

Ta da!!!!!!!!!
CIMG3780.jpg

After a bit of swimming they went back to CBR and I went back to check on Joe. I was a bit worried because he refused to go to an urgent care center and I was worried to take him on a plane the next day.

I finished the evening by packing what I could get packed. We really wanted Matt to experience TSMM so the rest of the family planned to get to DHS by rope drop. Joe and I would meet them when we could.

:sad2:

Well, here we were. Our last day. Continental had changed our flights so many darn times. The last change had us leaving at 3 something.

Joe slept in and was really feeling bad. He said that he wanted to go to DHS though. My sister called and they had the car packed, were finished with breakfast and ready to go. I told them to go to DHS and do TSMM even if we were not able to get there.

Joe got up and decided that he was a bit hungry, he had not had dinner the night before, so we went back to the Mara (and no, I did not get zebra domes for breakfast....although I really wanted to.) We grabbed breakfast and the last of our snacks which were 13 rice krispy mickey heads.

We packed up the car and drove to DHS. Turns out it wasn't even 10 when we got there. Mom sat out TSMM but Shelly and Matt were already in line. Joe and I jumped in line as the wait was less than an hour. We also grabbed FPs so that we could ride one last time before heading to the airport.

By this time Joe had figured out the game and that if you play as a team you will get much higher scores. We played together to be sure that we got rings around all the aliens and the rocket blasted off resulting in high value balloons dropping. He gets it better than I do but we kicked butt, even with him being sick and not in the mood. Can't wait to go back and do it again.

Mom was really warm already but she had worn jeans that day  , maybe she thought it would be snowing back in Ohio or something when we got home. :lmao:

I wanted to see the Muppets but I was solo on that so I skipped it. We went into Tatooine Traders for Joe. He LOVES Star Wars stuff. Shelly and Matt rode the ride while we shopped.

From there we somehow ran into the Power Rangers departure show (or whatever it's called) which is incredibly cheesy.

CIMG3863.jpg

We finished walking through the streets of NY and made our way to the front of the park so that the everyone could cash out their remaining snack credits and do their final shopping before we headed to get gas in the rentals and back to the airport.

Joe and I stopped at Hess right at the exit of DHS for gas. My sister had already filled her rental car. The to the airport was depressing as usual. Apparently some old guy decided to share my sisters lane for a period of time on ride there. :rotfl2: Not funny, but funny to hear them talking about it.

We got to the airport really early. I think everyone was just exhausted and/or not feeling great. Joe and I were flying CLEAR so we went through our line while the rest of the family went through theirs and we met by the airport monrail to the gates. We grabbed crappy airport food for lunch (and I still had a counter service left...shame on me) and waited to board the plane for home.

The ride home was uneventful (thank GOd for that). We collected are zillion pieces of luggage and got a cab for home. I sent Jenn a text to let her know we were home because she was not leaving Disney until the next day.

So, there ends our trip. I am collecting my final thoughts of do-overs, never to agains, and plans for next year since we booked bounceback.

Thanks for reading and reliving my dream vacation wtih me!
