Talavera Pottery Cozumel

I am looking at buying some talavera pottery while in Cozumel. Where is the best place, is it in walking distance to the port and how do you get there?

There is a place called Viva Mexico which is located right on the main road, not far at all from the pier. While you will see that almost everyshop has similar pieces, the place I mentioned,usually has the best quality, and by far the largest selection (2 floors). Its the building with the grass or straw roof(similiar to Animal Kingdom Lodge). I will try and post a pic of it.
I would check this place out before you buy anywhere else.

By the way, The guy seated on the far left makes wonderful paintings of the ship while u wait on those little dishes. Very talented.

When you walk off the pier, and get out on the main street (dont know name), just make a left and walk for Im going to say not even 1/4 mile.
Ill see if I have another pic so you can see what Im talking about.

I found this place on a message board. Has anybody been there? How far aways is it from the port?
