I took my DD for her first b-day last February 2005 and i just gotta say it was great.
I know there are a lot of parents out there concern about making a trip like this, i know i was, i had been to Disney World 4 times before, jsut DH and I of course, i kept thinking "would she enjoy it, would she remember it (everyone said it would be a waste cuz she wouldn't remember), how will she behave"... etc..how am i going to enjoy it.
Well let me tell you if you are thinking about it, DO IT, cuz now she is 15 months and she is all about doing her own thing, and looking for attention, she doesn't like sitting in her stroller for too long, or being in the car too long, or watching anything for too long, and that mean 2 minutes. So I am so HAPPY that i took her when i did, and celebrated her birthday there, and guess what...??? she does remember, everytime she looks at a disney commercial or anything that has the castle or tinkerbell, and she yells out "mickey" she relates anything that is disney to "mickey" and she remembers and laughs or says "OOHHH" when she sees anything that relates, so to all those people who said "she won't remember" BOOOOO... she does and when she looks at the video she talks and laughs and its incredible.
So to you out there who is wondering what is the best age, 1 is the best age, they don't pay, and they do enjoy it a lot, they nap in their stroller which mean you can sit back and enjoy a snack or a beautiful parade or just take in as much of disneyworld as you can by taking it easy.
My best trip ever, i got to see a lot of the kiddie stuff which is great, and i got to relax in my trip which DH and I almost never did, we were always trying to get to the next thing.
Overall, if you are a first time parent who is a bit scared, just do it, specially now with the 50 Celebration... don't miss it, and take your video camera, its so worth it.
HAVE A GREAT TRIP TO ALL OF YOU
