very cute!! and the shirts aren't bad either. Seriously though. the shirts came out wonderful and your boys are absolutely handsome!! Looking forward to the next set of shirts!

:rotfl: Thanks!!! The models come at a high cost but they are adorable!!!

I found some zebra print at the stores tonight. I'm excited about using that for the safari Mickey idea I had. Here's hoping they come out!!! pixiedust:

Yesterday was our check in online day so I checked in EARLY in the morning and everything looked fine to me. Maybe I was too excited :cool1::banana: to really read the fine print but I did make sure that we had the request of connecting rooms. Complete! Ready for our trip!! .....or are we?

Later in the evening I call Nannia who is now off of work for her to check in as well. We get sidetracked and talk about pedicures, who's coming over when, who will watch the kids, etc. and finally end our phone call so she can check in.

About 10:20 p.m. I get this panicked voicemail - "I was just online doing my check-in and they say that our flight is coming in at 12 a.m. and leaving at 12 a.m. I am not leaving at 12 a.m. What does your's say? Call me back."

Thankfully I was still up sewing and working on stuff so I jump online to check......Magical Express....blah, blah, blah....what?!?!?! NO FLIGHT INFO GIVEN!?!?!? I've called twice to give it. What in the world?!?!?!

I immediately call her back and we panic together.:eek::hug:

Of course they were closed last night so I called this morning and the CM I received who was really nice by the way rattled off all of my flight info without me saying a word. He claims that they have many different reservation systems and that it is in the Magical Express one EVEN though it doesn't show up on anything. He also said that they put midnight as all of the times because flight times change and they get tired of changing them. Geez I hope he's right and that there is a bus waiting for us when we get there. :rolleyes1

Well I am going to go back to trying to make some shirts. I have 12 shirts to make in 8 days. Not sure how that's going to work!!!

I've read a ton of PTRs ... I see this on many of them. Don't worry. :goodvibes I've even read a TR where they took a last minute flight and was still able to hop the ME over to their resort, without any paper work. :thumbsup2 Don't worry about what the system says/shows. (I think D even had the same issue.)

As for your shirts. Adorable! You did an awesome job!!!! SO much better than I could ever hope for!!!!

O.k. I finished two more shirts tonight!!! I LOVE these!!! However, both of my boys were busy playing video games and were way too busy to model it so......I just have a shirt photo until we take pictures at Disney.

DSCN6887.jpg

I had to free-hand the hat because I couldn't find one I liked. (They either had WAY too much detail or they were way too small for my Mickey ears.) The hat is a suede like material so it has some texture to it. 4 down, 4 to go.....at this rate I'll finish before this weekend. :cool1:

What else could I make to keep myself busy!?!??! :confused3

Thanks!!! I'm done for tonight!!

I'm not much of a reader but I figure if I am going to make my boys read then I better be an example SO.....when we went to the library this week, I picked up the first Harry Potter book. :scared1: Yes, the first one. No, I haven't read any of them. :rolleyes1 I am enjoying it though!!

So the rest of the night, I'll be reading!

:thumbsup2 Being a such a huge Disney fan, I hesitate on admitting this but... I LOVE the Harry Potter books. When my oldest were younger we used to go for Sunday rides and I would read them the book. then the next book they were old enough to read it, so we had to buy 3 in order for them to read it on our Sunday rides. GREAT MEMORIES for me. Now, I am in the process of reading the 2nd one with my youngest. Thank goodness I have read it & seen the movie, because my retention now isn't what it used to be. Thank goodness also, she is such a great reader she is usually the one reading to me.

BTW, I can't believe you did the hats freehand. You really did awesome!

Awesome job on the Mickey Safari shirt! It's wonderful! And I'm jealous!!

I'm thankful that my kids are huge readers. They LOVE to read and are familiar with our public library. I don't even have to set the example (yet, I do, since I love reading as much as they do!). Here's what I recommend ... Finish the HP series. It's a wonderful series! (Then on a WDW trip, sneak a day over to IoA so you can see the WWoHP. :thumbsup2 They did an AMAZING job at recreating it from the books! )

After you finish HP, start on the Artemis Fowl series (it's published by Disney•Hyperion Books, an imprint of Disney Book Group; author is Eoin Colfer). The books are great, lots of Disney references, enjoyable for all ages, and it's on about a 5th grade reading level, so it's not complicated to follow, but not easy-peasy since it wants kids to expand their vocabulary. It also has it's own terms. This would be a great series to read with your kids. :goodvibes In short, it's about a kid (around the age of 12) who is a genius, a master-mind criminal. But it's not in a horrendous way, and you can't help but cheer for Arty. I won't go into further details, I'll save that for when you read the series! (And as any series, some books are better than others. ::yes:: )

Not to get off track of your trip report Bridget, but Lidian, have you read the Kingdom Keepers series? I will say I think it is a bit scary for little ones.

Sorry for the brief hyjack, now back to your regularly scheduled trip report.......

:lmao: Finish Harry Potter before the trip!??!?!? Do you realize that I'm ONLY on chapter 4 of book 1 and I have to sew and pack? ACTUALLY, DH really wants to see Universal so I plan to spend a day or two there on our next trip. (I can't say when I'm planning the next trip because he doesn't know yet.) :rolleyes1

I'll definitely have to read the Artemis Fowl books. Sounds good!

I've heard mixed reviews on this series. I would love to know what ya'll think of them and don't worry about hijacking my thread....I enjoy the other discussions as welL! :);)

We all loved the 1st Kingdom Keepers book. (DD8 hasn't read it yet). We were okay about the 2nd one. Thats when i stopped reading. DH & DS#2 loved the 3rd, not sure about the 4th. I think they just got it. I too am going to have to try Artemis Fowl books.

Really? I haven't heard much of the Kingdom Keeper series. Hmm... I may have to read it next. :scratchin

I didn't mean finish it before THIS trip ... :lmao: I just meant finish it, then on a future trip, check out WWoHP. :thumbsup2

The first Artemis Fowl book is really good. I read it very quickly, as I had a hard time putting it down. :lmao: Honestly, I wasn't so sure about the series when my friend told me to read it.

Ugh, I didn't get to finish any more of my book or any more shirts yesterday because I had what was like a migraine without the pain. Don't get me wrong not having the pain was awesome but it still knocked me out for a day. I had dizziness, nausea, light hurt my eyes, sound hurt my head, I couldn't read, watch TV, get on the computer, etc. I basically laid in bed from about 3 yesterday afternoon til this morning when I woke up refreshed and HUNGRY!!!! It is my first "migraine" in over a year so I can't really complain and I am so thankful that it happened here and not at Disney. ;)

So instead of showing you a new shirt, I'll just share my plans for this weekend. Tonight we are going to meet my parents for dinner so that they "don't get too lonesome while we are gone". Tomorrow my DH has a ball tournament and I have a one mile fun run in the morning. In the afternoon, my in-laws are coming over and my M-I-L and I are going get vacation pedicures (hopefully with Mickey ears on them) while my F-I-L and DH watch the kids!

Then we will probably go out to celebrate DH's birthday which is Sunday. :woohoo:

Just 6 more days until we leave for our trip!!!!:cool1::banana:

I remember when we were in the 200's and it seemed SOOOOOO far away!!!!

OH No! Well, I am glad you are feeling better today. That stinks that you get migraines... with or without the headache. I can relate. no fun at all!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. It sounds perfect! Don't forget to take pictures of your mani/pedi I would love to see the mickey design (..i know ...hopefully).

Have fun!

We are down to FOUR days!!!!!:cool1::banana:

So yesterday was extremely busy for us. I was able to walk the 5k with a friend. It was my first one ever but my goal is to one day run them. After that we went watch my husbands' team play ball and somehow while going to get up from the stands I tweaked my back. I have pretty severe lower back pain on the left side but only when I sit or try to raise my left leg. My right leg doesn't cause any pain and I don't hurt at all while standing usually. Walking and sitting are a problem and it's darn near impossible to get shorts on.:rolleyes1 I am hoping that this is better by the time we leave for Disney!!!!

So today is DH's birthday and we treated him to a lunch of his choice which was Mexican food at a great little restaurant in town. This afternoon we spent the day finding and claiming suitcases as well as counting clothes. I'm not washing while we are gone so it's important that we have 10 sets of EVERYTHING!

Oh yeah, I wore my Disney tennis shoes on the 5k yesterday and they gave me blisters on my little toes. I am SOOOOO thankful that I tried them here for a long walk before I got there and wound up with bad blisters. :)

I'm heading over to check the Epcot show schedules right now to see if I can make a tentative schedule for Saturday.

My DH has also decided to take off Thursday since he already had a doctor's appointment in the morning so that we can leave right after his appointment!!! I am one happy girl!!! :cool1:  :cloud9:

I'll be back later with a schedule for our Epcot day!

FOUR DAYS!! :woohoo:

Hope your body heals quickly! :goodvibes Just take in lots of extra fluids (water those muscles!). Can't wait to hear about EPCOT!:banana::banana:

NO!! You can't be in any pain. You have to be able to bend to smell some of those roses!
hope you are healed quickly!!!

Happy Birthday to your DH.

YaY for you finishing the 5K. That's great.

Heal those blisters. I'm sure you can find some great tips on the boards here. I know some people say moleskin, some say vaseline. I'm not a blister person, so I don't have much input. Good luck.

4DAY!! that is awesome!

Feel better, and hope your blisters and back feel better in the morning.

Well I have to start off this post showing off my toes. PLEASE don't look at my tan lines!!! ROFL....this is what happens when you live at the ballfield and your sandals have a strap across your foot.

DSCN6899.jpg

So my toes didn't come out exactly as I had them planned but they are great. Why? Because it means we are going to Disney!!!!

So after checking the Epcot schedules for this week, I think I have a plan. :woohoo:

We love to watch the shows and since Kimpossible is out of commission this time we will have plenty of time to see all of the shows we missed the last time.

Here's the tentative schedule for the day -

9 a.m. - 12:30 or later - Ride the rides in FutureWorld and see Jammitors.
We will also play in the Brave play area which may cause us to be later than 12:30.

1:15 Serveur Amusant - France

In Japan, I want to pick a pearl!! My M-I-L and I bought little Cinderella carriages to put our pearls in although I saw on Lidian's TR that her daughter put her pearl in a cute little glass bottle with sand.

In America, I want to watch the country's show. I also want to meet my friend's daughter who is working in America right now.

4:00 - Sergio the clown - Italy

In Germany, I need "turtles" from the caramel shop.

5:15 - Jeweled the Dragon Acrobats - China

Dinner is going to be interesting because as a crew we don't venture out to eat much international food so it's going to be hard to pick something. I'm thinking that we will more than likely take a boat back to FW after grabbing Norway fastpasses and eat at Electric Umbrella or Sunshine Seasons.

I have thought of eating at Mexico since we do all enjoy Mexican food. Actually we surprised the kids with this trip while all eating at a Mexican restaurant. However, I'm not sure how brave we would be! I guess we will all have to wait til my TR to see what we do!!!

Now tomorrow I will try to tackle the Epcot shirts!! Oh that's after I take my truck to the shop. It's only two years old and it's having trouble starting. I'm hoping it's something wrong with the truck so that they have to fix it for free (still under warranty). DH is hoping it's the battery but that would mean that we would have to pay for it. All I know is that it has to be fixed by Thursday because it's my ride to DisneY!!!!!!

Last post for tonight I promise but I had to share this and no one else will understand!!

My hubby just told his brother on the phone that we plan to go back to Disney next year for Thanksgiving break to see the Christmas lights. :confused3 I'm slightly confused but  :cool1:  :cool1: at the same time.

I think the Disney bug may have bit him and we haven't even left yet!!!

YAY!

How is your back and how are your blisters today? Hopefully better. Good luck with the Epcot shirts.

Your Epcot day sounds awesome! We tried some Mexican food during food and wine, it was large helping! DH & DD#1 really enjoyed it. I like the nachos, but not the tacos so much. And usually we all enjoy (american) Mexican food. Honestly, Epcot is always our toughest food day. If your worried about the boys eating. Why not just throw a couple of pieces of fruit, or if avail at the quick serve at the hotel prior to heading to the parks, a couple of pb & j's? Just a thought.

I love your toes. Are we going to see your mani's? Do they have Mickeys?
At least you have had enough sun to get tan lines. Haha, we've had a lot of rain here lately.

Don't you love when you can say your leaving "Thursday" instead of your leaving "next Thursday" , or "in a couple of weeks"?:yay:

My back is better after using the tins (spelling?) unit last night and my blisters realy don't bother me so we are all good. We will have snacks in our bag so that may work for the kiddos. Just realized as I am writing this that I put my left leg on the chair without thinking about it or even wincing, my back is doing MUCH better!!! :woohoo:

We didn't get mani's just pedis. I have a hard time justifying manicures because my nails are short enough that I need to have tips put on and I break the tips because I'm so rough! :rolleyes1

Oh yes three days!!! Three days!!! Now to try and keep myself busy for three days!!!
