Isn't MDE Magical Disney Express? I am not sure what you are asking?...smjj

I don't really understand why you're asking what you're asking.

No, once tickets are linked to MDE, they cannot be removed. They can be reassigned. I've seen one report where someone raised enough of a stink that someone in IT was able to remove tickets, but I wouldn't expect that to happen without extenuating circumstances.

But that doesn't have anything to do with adding park hoppers. Do you want to add completely new tickets? Are your current tickets partially used (no-expiration) tickets? Or do you simply want to add the park-hopper option to some new tickets already loaded to MDE? There are ways to accommodate each scenario.

No, DME is Disney's Magical Express. MDE (or MDX) is My Disney Experience; the website and app.

If they are partially used you cannot remove them. You can add your new tickets, but it you don't have a CM prioritize them at entrance, the MB system will use up the oldest tickets. I tried deactivating my old tickets but it didn't matter the system used up the old ticket even though I had my new ticket in hand and swiped it at the entrance I didn't use the magic band. It was quite a mess to figure out. The old tickets were hoppers, the new tickets were base and I didn't need hoppers on my last trip.

we have 2 (2 day tickets 1 park a day non-ex) I want to keep them for our use when DW and I go alone. We will be getting park hoppers for Oct. I want to use the PH only. So I guess I need to go to GS and get them to use the right ones.

That's correct; Guest Relations will need to "prioritize" the tickets in your account. There's no other way around it.

I had the CM with a laptop prioritize my ticket at the entrance to the park. The outside guest relations line at the Magic Kingdom was very long. Just ask the CM to get you a CM with a laptop right at the park entrance.

But can you really talk to those people before you scan your band? Once you scan, and if it registers the wrong ticket, that can cause a big headache.

He did an inquiry on my MDE account, then he prioritized the 1 day ticket to be used that day. It worked fine.
It was a 1 day comp ticket that I got when they messed up my tickets in Feb, this visit was June. There are a
bunch of CM's with laptops at the ticket entrances just for that purpose. You have to talk to them before you scan your
magic band or in my case my 1 day ticket which was also attached to MDE.
You don't scan first, you have the CM with the laptop prioritize your ticket. They would do the same at
the outside guest services if you wanted to wait in line.

So if we have our 2 one park a day tickets on MDE and then add our park hoppers to MDE, which will they use first?

You'll have to stop at Guest Relations to tell them which tickets you want to use first.

Be VERY CAREFUL. You can't remove tickets from MDE or they will be void. And good luck with getting them prioritized , they screwed mine up three times even after guest relations so called prioritizing...I now have eight tickets on my account...and each time I go, I have them verify after they scan my band, exactly which tickets they are using. I have MNSSHP ticket and they said they couldn't link as I had too many active tickets linked...not my problem...took a supervisor to figure out how to get the ticket on the account.

Can I just not add my PH tickets? I will just use my 2 days first, then what ? Do I go to guest relations or what? Boy Disney really screwed this linking thing up. Last time I went to guest relations I stood in line for almost 1 and a half hours at opening for them to set my AP.

Never mind. If I don't add them then I can't get my FP's

don't count on prioritizing the tickets to always work. check your 'balance' on your MDE account while at the parks before you leave the property. It's far easier to have guest relations fix it via a readjust while you are present vs at home when you have to fax copies of everything.
