Has anyone had this experience? If so, how was it? And how affordable were the tickets? Do tickets ever go on sale? I'm hoping that this ends up being somehow cheaper than flying

Our party would consist of 2 adults traveling at tne end of August.

That sounds like a great way to travel to Orlando. Please put a review on the boards after your trip!

I love train travel....Its relaxing.
You also have the option of the Auto Train...Good choice, if you plan on renting a vehicle. The Auto train departs Lorton VA everyday at 4pm and arrives in Sanford Fl ( 25 minutes from Orlando) every morning at 8:30am...your vehicle is also, on board....In a seperate car!
It also leaves Sanford everyday at 4pm and arrives in Lorton at 8:30am.
It will save you from renting a car and you can pack your own car with everything you need.:thumbsup2

Is this cheaper than just driving to Orlando? We are considering moving to Fort Lee, and I have a DD23 in Orlando so looking at options for visiting.
