Taking the Plunge!

After much thought over the years my DH and I have decided to buy a DVC. We are really excited about it but was wondering if my fellow diser's know the answer to a couple ???. First, if the sale goes through the end of Sept. what are the chances I would be able to get a reservation for AK Villa's for the end of January for a studio wed-friday? Since we are buying resale it takes a little longer to finish the sale and cannot make a reservation until probably early Oct. Also, is the CL at AK Villa's a savannah view?

You probably have a decent chance of AKL as long as you are willing to take either building and any view.

CL has 3 savanah and 2 pool view but reports are that all of them are more roof views than anything and that if you want a view don't go concierge - which I suspect you wouldn;t have a chance of by the time your resale goes through.

If nothing else if you really want a trip you should be able to get a studio somewhere as it is a slower time for DVC- I was able to change dates in Nov for our January trip last year but we only needed 2 nights in a row.

I hope you are buying at AKV if you want to stay at AKV CL. You need to call at exactly 11 months out when Member Services opens to get that reservation
