Taking pics on attractions/shows

Most dark rides do not allow flash photography. However, if you turn off your flash, it is ok. The flash spoils the effects of the ride for others. In general most indoor theatrical productions prohibit any photography due to copyright issues, etc...

Last year I took or tried to take, a picture in Soarin, and they made an announcement not to take flash photos. I thought i had my flash off but didnt - it was too dark to tell. I was horrified.

Probably true of Cirque.
The "Eerie Expressionless Acrobatic Dancers in White-Face" Union is a tough one. ;)

However...
You CAN take photos and video at the "stage shows" of Festival of the Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Indy Stunt, LMA Stunt.
Flash photos, OK. No video lights.

You CAN take photos and video at Voyage of the Little Mermaid, and Country Bears.
You cannot use Flash or video lights in these.
(Sometimes they let you take flash photos at the finale of Country Bears.)

You CAN take flash photos and video of all parades and fireworks shows including Fantasmic! (no video lights).

You CAN take photos and video on virtually ALL rides in all the parks.
Notable exceptions: No video or photos on Soarin', Hall of Presidents, American Adventure, or the 3D Movies.
And in all "dark" attractions, no FLASH photos or video lights.

.

Robo you are right. I meant shows like Cirque. Those unions are scary. I worked in a theatre for awhile and if anyone caught wind of a patron bringing in recording devices they were not permitted to enter the theatre until their things were stored at the coat check.

No pics will be allowed at Cirque. Plus flash photography is a no-no, since it can put the performers in danger.

Not to mention that a flash going off in a dark room is just darned annoying :rotfl: usually want to take those people and :moped: them over :thumbsup2

but anyways on topic.. Basically no video lights are allowed to be used in almost any attraction/show, and usually flash is not allowed on any indoor/dark environment. And no pictures or video in cirque at all.
