I have been to DL many times and I have always wanted to take photos on rides but I never do because I feel like they are going to kick me out or give me a slap on the wrist:scared:. So what rides can you take photos on? And not get busted? :rotfl:

I've taken tons of non-flash photos on rides. Dark rides mostly (Pirates, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, Mr Toad, etc.) also had pictures taken by people I was with on pretty much every other ride (Slash Mountain, California Screamin)

I think the issue is with a flash, not just the picture.

Like the pp said you can take photos on almost any ride as long as you don't use your flash. There are a few rides that they ask for no photography of any kind...the only one that comes to mind though is TOT. Possibly Soarin'? I'm not sure but I'm someone will chime in.

Unless they specifically ask you that you not take pictures, you can take as many as you want, even on rides. I'm pretty sure that they only don't allow you on ToT, Soarin, and the 3D movies. Everything else, especially the dark rides, just make sure to turn off the flash for the convenience of the other people.

I love taking on-ride pics on DLR rides because they specifically do allow you to take those unique shots. :thumbsup2

i do on rides like BTMR an Screamin! :goodvibes they won't kick you out, they won't give you a slap on the wrist :rotfl:...i just am really carefull not to loose my camera. :cutie:

Yes, please no flash on dark rides people :goodvibes If you don't know how to turn off the flash, don't take photos. Please. :littleangel:

yes ..pleeeeeaaasseee NO FLASH!!!!! that is like the one biggest dis pet peeve!! :wizard::worship:

I agree with all the posts about not to have the flash turn on when you take pictures on the rides. I agree with Sara about that the most important thing for me when I take pics or videotape on the rides is make sure I hang on my equipment when I am on the rides.

Any ride that is indoors will present two problems. The flash may ruin the effects in the ride. The diplay on you camera may be annoying to guests behind you. Some cameras don't have displays that can be shut off. All cameras have flashes that can be turned off.

I believe the Monsters Inc ride is the only exception. That being that it is a dark ride that they allow photos on.

Unless they have changed it within the last year They allow you to take photos on TOT. Ive taken photos AND video on it many times before.

Wow - really? I hate that ride but would love to send the camera with the rest of the family when they ride it!

I know on Soarin' they specifically ask you not to take pictures....

And yes, hanging on to the camera is the biggest obstacle to getting pictures on rides. On our last trip I tried to take pictures on the Matterhorn for the first time - ended up with a lot of pictures of white walls and my DH's knee. :lmao:

hi all. disney is more interested in your safty on a ride.(bad pr when some one gets hurt). as a photographer i'v suffered many bumps and bangs to the face and eyes from sudden jarrings. just be careful and click away. ps i wont even try to get a pic on indy jones.popcorn::

We were on POTC yesterday and people were continually taking flash photos -- very rude and very annoying. Three or four times an announcement was made asking people to stop. So discourteous. I get very offended by that kind of behavior but I not to let it interfere with my enjoyment of the park.

All I wanted to add was....PLEASE do not use your FLASH on ANY rides, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. For everyone who suffers from migraines, please, just turn off your flash. :)
Thank You in advance. :)

We had this happen in June...people in our boat taking flash and video. Talking so LOUD! I said something to CM after we got off...this was last ride of last day for DS 13 and I. She said wait here...loaded a boat and then proceeded to give us our OWN boat...and NO ONE IN BOAT behind us! Very memorable and special something she didn't have to do. I didn't say anything to people on boat because you never know what they might do.

I honestly wonder how often people look at those pictures or videos! The ones we look at are of our family in front of things or with characters...not a picture of the pirates shooting, or the pig in the mud, etc.

I normally don't use my flash on rides. However while I was at DL earlier in the month, I was on POC and there was no one on 2 boats in front, behind, and in my boat (5 boats totally empty), so I turned my flash on and took some pics with the flash on, for the simple reason that I've got a really powerful flash on my camera, and there was no one around that was going to be bothered with me using the flash on my camera. Otherwise I'd rather take my chances and take pics without my flash, as I find while there is a chance of getting blurry pics, the ones that do turn out are of high quality.
