Hi all,

Finally time for me to do my PTR..I cannot believe this is happening, it's all so exciting and surreal.

Cast:

Me: 36 - Aussie girl, lover of all things Disney and Mickey, adore Beauty and the Beast, ex-CM at the Cambridge Store and mad for spotty dogs! I only have 1 Dalmatian girl though I quite fancy a few more but not 101!

Hubby: 37 - Born and bred in Cambridge, going along quite happily for the ride, he doesn't mind Disney at all and even took me to see Beauty and The Beast in the West End years ago when we lived in UK and still raves about how good it was.

DD1: 11years old and loves HSM, Camp Rock and Ratatouille (she has 4 pet rats of her own)
DS1: 6 years old, loves Buzz, Monsters Inc, Nemo and Cars
DD2: 6 years old (twin to the above), adores the Princesses, especially Ariel, loves Hannah Montanna, HSM, and anything scary

Dates: Leaving Aus May 6th, arriving in the UK May 7th...spending 9 days with family first (it's going to be a very looong 9 days waiting to go)

16 May - leave Ely to go to Folkestone (via Surrey to a British Wildlife Park) and stay overnight in Folkestone

Day 1: Monday 17 May
Take the early tunnel across to Calais, have breakfast in France and head to DLP by lunchtime.
Check in (we are staying at the Hotel L'Elysee) , drive to the parks and have a wander about to get our bearings and see what we come across, maybe even check out the Val D'Europe Mall.

Day 2: Tuesday 18th May
Full day in Disney - detailed plan yet to be worked out (maybe dinner at Cafe Mickey)

Day 3: Wednesday 19th May
Full day in Disney - detailed plan yet to be worked out

Day 4: Thursday 20th May
Take the RER into Paris to see the sights. DD1 is thrilled as she has actually been learning French in school this semester.

Day 5: Friday 21st May
Full day in Disney - detailed plan yet to be worked out (maybe dinner at Annette's)

Day 6: Saturday 22nd May
Check out and head to the Parks for any last attractions we haven't yet seen, characters we haven't met or souvenirs we haven't yet bought.
Leave around 2pm to head towards Calais stopping at Mesnil Ridge Cemetery to see the War Grave of my gt-grandfather who was a casualty in WW1. Stay over night at Etap Hotel Calais.

Day 7:
Early tunnel crossing back to the UK for breakfast in Folkestone and drive "home"

We then don't leave UK until June 5th so have lots of other fun stuff to do like Warwick Castle, Natural History Museum, Legoland, London Aquarium, London Open Tour Bus, Big Ben etc etc

The kids are really excited and I feel this is a once in a lifetime chance for us to ever take them to any Disney Park, I broke the news to them by making giant Mickey shaped cookies and asking them to guess where we were going while away on our trip to UK. Their faces were priceless!

I would personally love to get a big hug from Sully or Baloo, and I would love Joe (DS1) to get to meet Woody and Buzz, and a Princess or two for Scarlett (DD2) other than that we are happy to meet anyone and everyone character-wise.

Thanks for letting me ramble!

I'm sure you'll have a fab trip!! :goodvibes

Cafe Mickey should be a must - also Woodys Round Up for some character meet & greets!:thumbsup2

Are you going to take DD to Auberge? princess: Probably wouldn't be a big hit with your boys though! :rotfl:

Love the idea of making Mickey cookies!! Where did you get the cookie cutter???

Look forward to reading more... popcorn::

I am just hoping now that my husband is going to get better fast as he has come down really sick since we arrived, most likely a touch of what our son had before we left Australia...argh!
Hoping the weather is great for us while we are there.
