Taking ME when flights are delayed?

Hi, there travel experts! QUestion for ya!

After hearing some family members' non-disney related flight delay experience, it dawned on me to think about our upcoming trip. If you book a return-to-airport ride on ME and find out ahead of time that your flight is delayed, what do you do? Can you rebook for a later time? I wouldn't think you could just walk on a later bus. I saw on a different thread that busses could get unexpectedly full, and ticketed passengers could get booted.

You are given your return trip pick up time a day or two before you leave. I would say your chances would not be good for taking a later bus the day of your pick up.
Most likely you would not know of any delay until the day of your departure. So how far in advance would have notice of the delay, just hours? At that point I suppose you could go to the concierge desk at the resort to see if you can get a later bus, but again since they do the schedules prior to the day of your return I would not count on anything.
