We've been guilty of pulling our kiddos out for two weeks at a time (family weddings across country combined w/ Disney), and received a form letter both times from the principal threatening holding the kids back a year. Which is hilarious, because we had actually Requested earlier for my special needs son to be held back and--get this--was Denied.

Yep, she was just bluffling.
