I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find any threads.

We have an early flight and I wanted to go to the bakery the day before and pick up some baked goods to bring on the plane. Can I bring these through security?

TIA.

Food is fine you can bring bakery items through security and on the aircraft, the ban is on liquids and gels. You can't bring packages of cream cheese for bagels unless they are in your 3-1-1 bag but you can bring a bagel with cream cheese on it.

More info here:

That is what I thought, but I wanted to be sure before I attempted to bring the food through.

Thank!!!!

I would not try to bring a jelly donut and cream cheese in any form might be a problem. Stick with plain bagels and donuts.

We just bought subs through the other day. They just need to go through the security screening conveyer belt under the X-Ray device. As another poster stated any condiments like ketchup, mayo, mustard, cream cheese etc. need to go in the zip loc baggie.

Bagels and cream cheese are fine - traveled with them many times the the past year. You can also bring cream cheese but in a container 3oz or less and in your 3-1-1 ziplock. No personal experience with Jelly Donuts though:)
