I read that it's forbidden to take your own stuff in. The thing is, DD1 has a dairy intolerance (and poss DD2 whom I breastfeeding) and therefore it's hard to get her snacks (and me!). So I'd like to be able to take a bit of fruit and also something like a fruit pot and maybe a dairy free chocolate brownie or biscuit in with us. Main meals will obviously be purchased in Disney but if she we say stop for a coffee I don't want her looking at nice things and not being able to have anything without giving her an alternative :(

Do you think this will be acceptable? Is there anyone at Disney I could run it by via email or something?

Thanks for your help.

Literally, the bag check is NOTHING, they barely even look. I didn;t bother opening my bag most times.

You'll be fine with baby bottles, anyhting. Every day I took rolls, and drinks bottles in!

Dont worry about this - everyone takes snacks in. As long as you are not taking a full scale picnic in massive coolbox etc you'll be fine.

panic not, they aren't looking for food in your bags ! lol

we brought bottles of water ( and refilled at drinks fountains ) cereal bars etc

never been / seen anyone stopped bringing food in

Sometimes the CMs on bag check pretend to confiscate food - usually bags of sweets - but then indicate its because they want it for themselves :rotfl:

Oh that's a relief thanks :) I read it in the Veness's guidebook that they confiscate food taken in... I think if they say anything I'll just try and explain in pigeon French and English about my DD and myself....

Sounds like they don't check anyway :)

As others have said you will definitely not have a problem.
We have entered the park with bottles of water, crisps/snacks and a baget along with cheese and hams. Made a picnic up and sat at Hakuna Matata which was shut... would not do it at a restaurant that was open :)

You will have nothing to worry about, DS2 is autistic and has a very restricted diet. We have to take food for him every where we go, we even take his packed lunch into the restaurants with us. We order our meals and he eats his packed lunch and we have never had any problems. :)

i will be bringing snacks for my dd who will be 22 months. there is no way she could survive on the food there for five days so i will be bringing raisins, her own drinks, biscuits, rice cakes and i might even resort to taking a roll from breakfast with ham in it for her lol

Hi Small World, I knew you would figure it out:thumbsup2

Mommy2ash, you are so lucky only having to take that amount of food with you, I wish we could get away with that amount. We have to take ds2's entire food for the week, 5 loaves of bread, his own butter, juice and chocs , it takes up a whole suitcase.

yes..well i put in another thread about my gallstone/ulcer etc... i am really limited to what i can eat.. so will have to take in snacks for ben and baby milo, and a sandwish for both me and my mum..as we have same allergies...bizarre... I feel a little nervous about having to explain myself!

The CMs on the bag check really don't care about food in your bags - my mother managed to get in three rolls, a bottle of water and a packet of crisps without the CM even blinking an eye. You'll be fine!

As the others have said, you'll have nothing to worry about. We brought (and will be bringing) our own snacks in - good ol' Jammie Dodgers, Maltesers, Maryland choc chip cookies, Walkers crisps and our own drinks/juice etc and we've never had problems.

yeah its not food they are looking for and most the time they don't even check my bag, and when they do they usually find the whole of the santa Fe breakfast in there!;) :rotfl: Seriously though they skim over bags, there is no need to panic at all!!

I always had my jumper at the top of my bag, so even when I did bother opening my bag all you could see way a jumper (under which was hiding a bottle of water, 3 pain au chocolat and 3 ham and cheese rolls!)

Hee hee hee!

It HAS to be done!!:rotfl:

Lol, indeed. The only problme with 7am breakfast! I can't even manage half a yoghurt! So its only my fair share!!

Wonder if its frowned upon at DLH though?!? eeeee? I hear they even have slices of cheese so it'll save me chopping up those wierd little blocks of it!!

:rotfl:

I remember in Santa Fe they used to have pots of yoghurt which were handy snack for my wee boy...he was about a year old..the following year we went they had a big pan of the stuff with a ladle :rotfl: Talk about being gutted!:rotfl:
