Actually, I'm surprised so many people prefer the gc over cash....it would seem to me that if you have a gc with $100 on it & loose it, there goes your $100. Or, you bring $100 cash, leave $80 in the room & bring $20 with you, you loose $20, you still have $80.
I would never feel comfortable giving my kids a gc with a lot of money on it!
