Taking Brita bottles into the park

I just bought a fanny pack with water bottle holder - my Brita bottle fits nicely. However, can I have it filled with ice and water before I enter the park - i.e., will security make me pour it out before I enter (for example, to make sure no one's bringing alcohol, etc., in the park)? It's not a clear bottle, so you can't see what's in it - I'd rather just bring it in empty and fill it there if bringing it in full will cause a problem.
Thanks,
Mike

We have never had ours checked. We last went in 2002 so I don't know if it has changed, though I have never heard it mentioned.
Gotta love those Brita bottles!:)

Didn't have mine checked in May either.
You wont have a problem with the full bottle.

BTW...security is, IMH 9 day Observation.... a joke.
Very Lax, not at all thorough.... and .....
..yes........... the lack of security is scary!

Have a Great time !!

Our Brita bottles were not checked last month, either (tho I will say the security folks at AK did a thorough job checking everything else....security at the other parks was definitely superficial, to say the least). Just a reminder: you can go to any fast found counter/concession stand and ask for a courtesy cup of ice (great way to keep the water cool throughout the day, and probably one of the only FREE things you can get at the parks!).

And probably the only thing you'll be asked to throw away before entering AK, is straws if you are using one. My mom and I were using them with our refillable mugs back in Nov 2002, and were politely asked to dispose of the straws, which we did.
