Taking apart an ecv

We have decided to drive to WDW in a couple of weeks and will be renting a mini van. We are also renting an ECV for my mom from Apple to be dropped off at the resort. We have taken other evcs apart and stuck them in the van to go to a park to avoid buses. How hard is it to take an Apple one apart and put back together ?

I always rent from Apple. They are very easy to take apart. But, make sure you tell them you need one to take apart. I found out from them that the ones they rent for onsite are not meant to be taken apart. Don't know why. I guess they figure the ecv will be on the bus.

Most of the companies rent both ECV models that can be taken apart and other models that can't be.
Many of the heavier duty ones can't be - probably because the individual parts would be too heavy to manage anyway.
So, it's important to make sure that you have rented the type that will come apart if that is what you want.

One nice thing is that most of the companies actually list the manufacturer and model of the ECVs they rent. Some actually have videos posted on their website, but if they don't, you can search for directions. Here's a video I found of the GoGo Elite Traveler
