Anyone ever take a tripod or monopod to Disney World? I'm not looking to take it inside the parks, but was thinking more of low light evening pictures at the resort. Now that I'm really getting into photography, I'd love to try some nice low light pictures at the resort, especially if I stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort of some other nice resort. For a monopod it would be easy to fit inside my luggage, but trying to get it past TSA, even if checked, might be a problem. I can see how they could think that monpod of mine might look like something else.

Thanks

In and around the resorts should present no problem at all. There has been a reputable report just recently of having issues taking one into the parks, but that was DLR. No such reports (yet?) at WDW parks.

I have considered previously taking my tripod in my carry-on. I didn't end up needing to so didn't try it, but many here reported having no issue even in a carry-on.

I don't want to have to carry it around the parks all day, but I did want to try some low light pictures at the resorts. I guess if I wanted to get some low light nice shots in the parks I'd have take it, but I don't want to have to carry it all day.

In the parks I put mine in a locker in the morning and get it out late in the day when it's convenient. It helps a lot that I have a smaller travel tripod (luxiL iii).

Didn't think of the lockers, thanks. Also didn't think of a smaller travel size.
