Taking a break from VGF

Have not used any VGF points since before the pandemic. After they dropped the Grand Floridian Orchestra it really took one of my favorite things about the resort. Been staying at my other home resort CCV and using VGF points for Riviera stays. Love all 3 resorts, so I figured I would check out the Riviera while it has pretty decent 7 month availability. Already stayed last July and really like it, have 7 nights booked later this year. VGF is still my favorite so planning on going back in 2022.

We don’t have that many VGF points, so I keep them for VGF stays. However, using other points we have a three night stay at Riviera coming up this summer. I think we will like that resort!

We really enjoy the Riviera. The Skyliner is awesome, it tends to get backed up during busy times but just allow extra time and it is great. The busses were really good for us, not sure if it will stay that way though and if the Skyliner goes down just head over to the bus stop and they had a bus right away. I finally have my first RIV stay in two weeks. Just one night but can’t wait. I have a few more booked in June and a October as well.

I got lucky and some of the days are booked with SSsr points too.

I have visited it and the Dec and Feb trips I was supposed to go on had to be canceled due to health issues with elderly parents. But really can’t wait to do both VGF and RIV this time!!

I just realized our Riviera stay is two nights, not three. We originally had booked a tower studio, but have realized we may not be happy with only a queen bed and no place for one of us to move if sleeping alludes us, and I was thrilled to get a standard studio for the two nights instead.

We have traveled the Skyliner for fun and do like it.
