January will be DGD's first trip to WDW. We're considering Hoop Dee Doo as a fun dinner, so we'd like to hear about others' experiences taking a young toddler before we need to book. TIA!

:thanks:

I think this is a YMMV thing. I'm pretty sure my oldest would have made it through (she was always a good restaurant eater) but I highly doubt my youngest would have tolerated it.

It's very loud. We took DS when he was four and he did great. At 20 months, I don't think he would have done as well. Buuuut since that age group is free...I'd do it! If you use those cute little headphones for other noisy situations, I would bring them. Every kid and family is different. Pick whichever show time works best with DGD's schedule. If she'd normally be napping during the 4pm show, don't book that one! We absolutely love the fort. Have a great trip!

We took my son when he was 19 months. He loved it. The spoon and washboard at the end was his favorite. We went to the early showing, so he wasn't super tired. We also brought a few toys/activities for him, but we didn't really need them. He has a peanut allergy, and they were great about that too.

I wish I could find and upload the video from when we took my niece when she was 18 months old. She had a ball! We were seated all the way up front at the stage in Cat 1. She was clapping, she enjoyed the food and her face literally lit up when the strawberry shortcake hit the table. It was the cutest thing ever. We still talk about it to this day, she is 9 years old now.

Thanks, y'all. DD has decided to wait to introduce DGD to HDD. She took her to a local function where there were a lot of people and activity, and DGD was kind of clingy, so instead of wondering whether we might have to leave early, we'll skip it in January and save it for a later visit. I appreciate your input!
