I am a Teacher Senior Sponsor. Myself (along with 8 other co-workers) are taking 40 students to WDW during Spring Break. This is a new trip to our school and I really want to make this fun, educational and magical. I am looking for any good advice in making that happen. This is what I have so far.

Rountrip Deluxe Motor Coach from STL to Orl
4 nights in Comfort Suites Maingate
Daily Breakfast at hotel
Dinner Meal Voucher (lunch on their own)
1 meal at Golden Corral
4 day disney hoppers

All for $500. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hmm.
Well, you can do educational stuff at Disney. You'd have to talk to the company (well the people who look after the field trip aspect of the company) and they can probably arrange some stuff for you. My parents have talked to a teacher from North Carolina and they did stuff like ride Space Mountain in the dark, and then again with the lights on. They did stuff like that from 8-3 which was their school day and then after that they were free to roam the parks for the rest of the day. However, in the case that you are staying out of the world and will be dining together it would be something like 3 hours to roam (until six) and meet up somewhere. But idk.

definatley go to epcot and take them through world showcase and then make like a test or something out of it when you get back! :confused3

Our HS band is going this Spring Break as well. But I don't think it's going to be as much fun this year as it was a couple years ago. But to help your situation out, when my brother went with the band, they booked a dinner party at Epcot in the Italy Pavillion so they could watch Illuminations. You have to book through Disney, and it is about 25 a person, but Illuminations is awesome and it includes dinner and front row to the show! It's a great experience if you've never seen it! Good Luck on your planning! :)

I had gone several years ago in a group with Girl Scouts and we did this program run by Disney called Youth Education somethingorother. A few days, we went to the parks before it opened, and went on a few different rides and there were some educational aspects tied into it. For example, we were in Fronteirland, and learned about that time period. We went into the Hall of Presidents and discussed something about government.
I'm not sure if they still have the program, but if that's the type of thing you're looking for, definitley look into it.
