We have not been to The Boardwalk since Spoodle's closed and Kouzina's opened. There was a place that you could get pizza's to go. Is that still open or was it closed when Spoodle's did?

That's definetly still open. When me and Travis went this July, we had it at the Boardwalk pool.

Yes, it is definitely still open.

And it is, in my opinion, the best pizza at WDW. It didn't seem like it changed much when the restaurant got rebranded. Whenever we stay at BWV or stop by the Boardwalk, we always get a few slices.

I believe it counts as a counter service on DP. If I'm not mistaken, maybe you can get a whole pizza and 2 drinks for 2 adult CS credits.

Since I never got a chance to try their Pizza last month when I was staying at the Boardwalk, when I stay there this December I am going to try it because I want to know what it tastes like.

Well, it's definitely OK, although you can get off property pizza that is better. I've had it quite often, and will probably have it again later this month when staying at BWV (in a villa, I buy a whole pie, and then I get several meals out of it - gotta love the microwave and oven :thumbsup2). It has a medium thick crust, a good amount of sauce, and an adequate amount of toppings. Sometimes they put too much of the toppings in the middle, so the middle comes out a little limp. It's not expecially crispy. If they baked it just a little longer, I think it would be much better. I like my pizza kind of "well done". I wonder if I can request that?

I've been debating buying a pie at Via Napoli and taking it back to BWV. Has anyone done that yet?

Havent done it yet, but thats what im doing in Oct. We got a lunch ressie and plan on ordering the pizza and telling them to put it in a to go box. I will run it back to Beach club for a late night treat.

Do they accept the DDP?

I would love to know if someone has used DDP here recently.

The first time we used DDP (Jan. 05, it had just started) we were able to get a whole pizza, large salad, breadsticks and either 2 or 3 drinks for either 2 or 3 CS credits (sorry, can't remeber for sure the numbers). It was the Spoodles window and the CM was very helpful. It was a great deal as there was no way the 3 of us could eat all the food. We were even looking for someone to give a few slices to but it was in the middle of a lovely Jan. day and no one was walking by us.

We've done the whole pizza option at the food court at POP and would probably do this again but I remeber it as being very pleasant eating our pizza, etc. on the Boardwalk. We also played Stitch's Trouble-my DD (then 6) had just bought the game with her money at WoD.

Yes, I would too! According to the DIS website, the Pizza Window does not accept the DDP. This could be outdated info. :confused3

Hopefully someone will have some updated information.

I really liked the pizza from the Boardwalk window. We got a whole pie for the 3 of us and had left overs. I thought it was pretty tasty. Plus it was nice sitting at a table watching the friendship boats or people watching while you're eating. Not sure about the DP because we did oop, but Ido know that is a refill station for the refillable mug. The character box was an extra bonus :lovestruc

Last month when I walked by there the menu had the DDP logo next to their items, so yes the DDP is accepted there.

Was it just for SC or do you know if they also accept DDP for entrees (pizza)?

Nice to hear about the refillable station. Love getting refills. :cloud9:

I have never bought a pizza at WDW that I didn't regret.

If you are from a city where real pizza (i.e. made by people of Italian descent) is available, you will never be happy with WDW pizza. :sad2:

The pizza from the Boardwalk window is passable, and that's about it. The sauce, cheese, and toppings were plentiful, but the type of cheese was not right and the texture of the crust is all wrong.

We had some about ten days ago and I think it has gone downhill since Kouzzina took over from Spoodles. The crust no longer has any crispiness on the bottom, which means they're not baking the pizza in super-hot ovens on a stone (or similar) surface.

We have a tradition of eating there every trip and did so yesterday.
The pizza has changed since the takeover. It has a thicker crust and is not as cheesy. I think it used to be provolone but is now mozzarella and they do not use nearly as much.
I asked if it was on the dining plan and she told me it was not. They do accept room charges now--a year or 2 ago they did not.

The Boardwalk Pizza Window does NOT accept the dining plan (it never did). It is also not operated by Kouzzina. I don't think it's even operated by Disney.

Thanks TDC Nala and Belle & Ariel. Guess I can cross it off my list. It's easier to get it at the food court anyway. :goodvibes
