Take your AAA card!

Ok, sorry for this one, but do you have to tell them you're a AAA member before they bring you your bill, or can you just show them your card when they bring it to you?

At restaurants I usually hand them my card when I ask for the check. when making purchases in gift shops I hand them my card when I hand them my purchases for check out.

If I have my AAA card, will I get a discount on admission tickets to US if I buy at the gate??

I'm trying to decide if I should buy these tickets through AAA in advance here in town or just buy when I get there.....if I still get the discount??

Also, is it a big deal to buy at the gate? Long lines??

Thanks,
Pye

You will NOT get a discount at the gate with your AAA card.
I don't know how many days you are planning to visit the parks, but one of the best deals is the five day bonus pass which you can buy on line at the Universal website. You get five consecutive days for the price of a two day ticket.

When you hand your AAA card, to show your a member, do they ask for another ID, to prove who you are? I was wondering if I could borrow my father's card?

will they allow double discounts?Like AAA with fan club?Proly not..just checking......and is the AP discount better than AA/fanclub?We are WWAYYY to broke to afford an on site hotel..staying at a cheap place nearby...trying to squeeze out every discount I can:sunny:

I always laid all of my discount cards on the table at restaurants and was only allowed to use one.

Can you also show the small AAA key ring card? I will have my regular card but just wondering since these also have member # on them.

Don't forget the value of booking with AAA too...I know that there are some great discount information found on these boards, but AAA offers some great packages as well. I booked with AAA and got some great rates, discount on park passes, a movie pass, a dinner and a lunch, and the ease of knowing that I can trust a travel agent to find the best rate for me. AAA even sells travel protection if something might go wrong (like my grandfather not doing so well...) I'm not very fond of going from website to website trying to find the best rate, trying to figure out if I can cancel for any reason, or cancel at all for that matter.

Hi! We're going to HRH from April 3rd - 6th. I am an AAA member in the New York City area and I did not see the ad in my magazine either. Could you kindly send me a copy also? Thanks so much!

Hi~ Just wondering.... I noticed the original post about the 20% coupon was over a year ago. I checked all the links, and couldn't come up with it. Does anyone know if it's still available, and if so, could someone email me at LASO82@aol.com with the info? TIA!!!

Thanks for the tip - any idea if Canadian auto assoc earns the same discount??

If this was response to me, yes it would work for CAA too. Both yours and mine are good for anywere in use of North America.

Does anyone know of a website or 800 number to enroll in AAA? I've gotten offers before but turned them down. After reading about all of these savings, I'd like to join. Thanks
