You're certainly not crazy to take the bus!
But neither would you be crazy to drive everywhere.
Both have advantages and disadvantages.
Unlike many people I think driving or bus to MK is a toss-up. We had a disappointing (but not unusual at the time) experience with busing to MK in 2002. The next couple years we drove and got there faster (that's right, faster) than we did by bus in 2002. Last year we tried the bus again and had a much better experience.
If you walk out the door to a bus that arrives quickly and does not stop at other resorts, you can't beat it. But if you have to wait awhile and/or it stops at other resorts (and crams on people until it's completely stuffed), taking the car can be as fast or faster, even to MK. And there's no substitute for the control you have when driving. You can leave your resort when you want to, arrive at the parks pretty much when you want to, go wherever you want when you leave, and not have to worry much about how many others are leaving the park at the time. And you don't even want to think about busing from resort to resort.
