Take Small Children By The Hand....a Sept Trip Report (Baby pics-Page 40)

Still here Meghan! :goodvibes

Freezing too. It snowed for 3 days straight. We got A LOT of snow. It finally stopped yesterday, only to start again today. :faint:

I'm here too! Waiting patiently...:rolleyes1
Has been really cold here except today was a beautifuly sunny 55! It was gorgeous when I walked out of work. But its cold again today, expecting snow tomorrow evening! ICK! :scared1: Anybody down south need a Snowbird for the winter? :confused3

No worries, Meghan, we'll be here when you're ready! :surfweb:

We had some snow last week, but then it "warmed up" enough to rain...so now it's just cold and wet. :sad2:

From here, YOU ARE down south!!

No worries, I haven't finished my trip report from Jan 2010 !
We're cold here just over the border from you, but no snow - yet !

I'm still with you Meghan!! Don't worry! We will be patient. This time of year is so hard. I still haven't finished my TR from July!! Just so busy!

We're freezing here too. It looks like we could get a foot of snow tomorrow, so I went grocery shopping on my lunch break and plan to stay home and bake. Poor DH has to work and try to deliver mail!!

I just saw footage on tv of what happened to the dome in Minnesota!!! I can't believe that the dome collapsed!

Still here Meghan! :goodvibes

I'm here too. :goodvibes It's freezing and blizzarding here. Ick!

Thanks for bearing with me everyone. I was hoping to update tomorrow, but now I have to work. Old Navy actually gave me a lot of hours this week, so I'm very happy that I have all of my shopping finished! Maybe I will have time to update tomorrow afternoon after I pick Madison up from school.

Don't worry, I'm still here. I hope you're still with Kristen and I on our TR. She gets back Thursday and we promise to have an update up this weekend!!

How much snow have you guys had so far? We've been lucky in NJ. I don't want any snow!!! Last year was more than enough for me. Stay warm!

Thanks! I'm still reading your TR as well...just not commenting a lot lately. Since I'm trying so hard to catch up on everything, I've just been reading!

Where I live, not a whole lot. Over the weekend, it almost all melted away. It's snowing today, but not really sticking. Now, in the areas south of the city of Buffalo....that's a different story! Buffalo gets such a bad rap for snow, but Syracuse (where I grew up) gets TONS more snow than us!

I left off with us heading out to the bus stop. I believe we got to the bus stop a little after 2:20pm and a bus came around 2:40pm.

Thank goodness! The love bugs were out in full force and it was so gross! This became a trend for the week. Every afternoon when we were at the bus stop, the love bugs would be swarming. Yuck! Anyways....

We arrived at DHS right before the 3pm parade...of course. So, we booked it over to the Jedi Training Academy to see if we could get Madison into the 4pm show. No luck. Turns out that they pre-book the 4pm and 4:45pm shows. Bummer! We would have to try again on our next DHS day. Madison decided she had to make a 2nd light sabre so her and Tony could have battles. We went into the Star Tours shop and she made Tony a blue light sabre (hers is green....like Luke's). We didn't want to carry it around for the afternoon/evening, so we had it sent to the front of the park so we could pick it up later. Once that was all settled, we headed over to VOLTM. The line was super long, so we skipped it and went to the Animation builidng.

Madison just HAD to get her photo taken here!

We watched the little presentation thing with Mushu and it was cute. Afterwards (around 3:43pm), we then headed into where the characters are. I don't remember who was out greeting, but we noticed that Lotso would be coming out in 2 minutes! We hopped in line and we were only behind a few families. I must say, it really smelled like strawberries over there!

The area for the Animation Academy was packed, so we headed back out of the building. Once again, we decided to try VOLTM. It said the next show was at 4:15pm...great! However, the second we got into line, it changed to 4:45pm. We were not about to wait that long for the show. So we got out of line (again) and headed towards the Backlot Tour. Right as we were getting closer, we noticed they were making everyone get out of the line. Were we ever going to accomplish anything tonight?

Since we were over there, we decided to see if Mike and Sully were out greeting. Well, we were in luck! Mike was over there, so we got a family picture.

Madison said she wanted to do the GMR so as we made our way over there, we stopped by VOTLM again. It was 4:20pm and the show was at 4:45pm. We decided we could wait for the show. I haven't seen this show in quite awhile and I must say....please don't flame me.....it was awful!!! It's so outdated and our Ariel was not so great. Her voice was good, but her mannerisms were just very odd. Madison was NOT impressed.

After our not-so-great trip under the sea, we headed towards Beauty and the Beast. We had never seen this show and I was determined to do so. The last show was at 5:45pm and we got into the theater around 5:20pm. As we waited for the show to start, we were melting. We took out our little hand held fans and I wrote in my trip notebook. Here are a few shots from the show:

The costumes are fantastic!

The show was WONDERFUL! We all really enjoyed it. Gaston and Belle had amazing voices and like I said before, the costumes were so great. I'm so happy we were finally able to see this show.

Once the show was over, we were starving! We went across the street to eat and we had to make our way through the already gigantic Fantasmic line. For dinner, Tony had a 1/2 chicken, baked beans and carrot cake from Fairfax Fare; Madison and I both got chicken nuggets from Rosie's All-American Cafe. Maddie had chocolate milk, fries and a cookie and I had iced tea, fries and chocolate cake. Well, I actually saved my cake for later. As we ate, we watched the massive line of people filter in to see Fantasmic. It was nuts!

When we finished dinner, we made our way into the Fantasmic theater (around 6:45pm). Again, we had never seen it before. We wanted to see the early show so we could get back to Pop earlier. I'm so happy I brought my tea and cake with me. We had some time to kill. We ended up sitting in the Pocahontas section towards the top which was great! A few guests even started the wave and pretty soon, the whole theater was doing it!

A nice family behind us offered to take our picture

The show was really great, but getting out of there is dangerous! The crowd was moving SO slow and I was getting very annoyed. On our way out of the park, we took a few pics.

We picked up our light sabre at the front of the park and while there, Madison got a birthday phone call from Goofy! As we started walking toward our bus stop, I noticed a very long line. Pop is bus stop #9 and our line stretched past stop #7. This looked bad. However, the line looked worse than it was. They started bringing in double buses which was awesome. We were back in our room around 9:45pm. It had been a great first full day and we were looking forward to the next day....EPCOT!!!

Oh, I totally remember the love bugs from a previous May trip. They are gross and I remember how they were swarming all over the Pop bus stops. I used to call them the two-headed mutant bugs.

Lotso looks so deceptively nice!

I love the Beauty and the beast show! Looks like you got some good meet and greets in though.

Looks like a good afternoon to me

We didn't even ride anything and we still had a great time. :)

The love bugs were so gross at the Pop bus stops. We never even saw them anywhere else (well, that's coming up later in the trip). All we did while waiting in line for the buses was swat them away from us. It's like they don't know where they're going and they just fly around randomly. Yucky!

Lotso does look very nice. I must say, he's quite cuddly!

Beauty and the Beast was so amazing. It's right up there with FOTLK for me. So colorful, wonderfully done....just perfect. I just wish it wasn't so darn hot in that theater!

Grrr. Lotso. What a meany!

Sounds like your day at DHS was similar to mine! Rides kept going down left and right. I don't know what the deal was with DHS this fall!

I'm not a fan of Fantasmic. I wasn't impressed with the show itself and I think the crowd just adds to me not loving the show. It's a pain in the butt to get out of there, especially if it's the only show and at park closing, so EVERYONE is heading in the same direction.

Have you every see the Christmas Show at Radio City? Lots of kick lines there! :)
