The night before we left, I was in bed around 11pm. I did wake up around midnight, but I was then able to sleep until my alarm went off at 3:30am. No, not a typo. I woke up at 3:30am. I couldn't believe I actually slept until my alarm went off! I'm usually waking up every hour the night before a trip. I guess I was pretty tired. Anyways...I hopped right out of bed and started getting ready. I woke Tony up around 4am once I had finished getting ready. I woke Madison up around 4:15am and we were all completely ready to go by 4:30am.

My dad picked us up at 4:45am and we were at the airport a little after 5am. We didn't have to wait long at all to check our bags and we breezed right through security. We were at our gate by 5:20am and Tony went and got us some bagels. We were starving! For being a Wednesday in September, I was surprised to see how packed all of the gates were! There seemed to be people everywhere. We had a large (and loud) group of people about our age at our gate. Tony knew one of the guys in the group and he told Tony that his group of friends were going to Epcot for one day to drink around the World. Ridiculous! They were coming back home on Friday. Whatever.

There were a lot of kids at our gate as well. The mom repeatedly told them to be quiet, but they weren't listening. It was just WAY too early in the morning for all of this noise! While driving to the airport that morning, Tony realized he didn't have his sunglasses. Oh boy. I guess we would have to buy some at one point. He looked around the airport but didn't see anything he liked.

Boarding went very smoothly and we were able to sit together in row 8. Score! We got a teeny delayed due to lightning in the area. Madison was starting to get nervous while we were taking off. She was never nervous to fly before, so this shocked me. I must say, it was quite the bumpy lift off due to the rain. Once we were through the clouds we had an absolutely gorgeous view of the sunrise. What a wonderful way to start vacation.

I remember worrying about the weather the day you left. It was crazy lightening/raining!

It's funny that you said you got bagels at the airport. My DS asked me the other day if we could go to the airport and get coffee and bagels. He knows the airport routine already at only 3yrs!

Great start! Did you guys enjoy Southwest? That is crazy that the airport was crowded so early! I cannot imagine spending the money to fly down to Orlando, and then $100+ just to drink in Epcot! Those guys sound crazy!

The weather was just fine until we actually arrived at the airport. We were sitting on the plane and all of sudden, Madison told me it was raining. It went from sprinkling to a downpour in minutes! Scary!

Hahaha...you've taught him well!

We did like Southwest, I just missed my JetBlue tv's. I couldn't believe how crowded every single gate was and we passed a lot of them!

Crazy, right? The flight we took was pretty cheap, but they had to get a hotel for 2 nights and 1-day passes. Ridiculous! It wasn't just guys...there were women too. I'd say it was a group of 10-15 people.

It was so crowded and I've never seen it like that before. The noise level at our gate was through the roof. I was ready to stand up and tell everyone to be quiet.

Madison was very happy that morning (we all were). We were so excited to be headed to our very favorite place.

I just couldn't believe they would fly down just to drink around the World.

I was so irritated by the noisy people at the airport. All I wanted was a little bit of quiet. Interestingly enough, the flight down was very quiet. I guess everyone took a nap!
