Take resort bus or drive to downtown disney

I plan on checking in at AOA on Sunday morning September the 30th about 9:00 am and spending the first half of the day at downtown Disney and was wondering if I should just drive or take the resort bus. I recall hearing people complain about the parking at downtown Disney.

It will be faster if you drive. Parking will depend where you park. It's usually easier to find parking in the West Side.

Finding a parking space casually takes leads time than waiting for the return bus. Also, unless there's a big event the parking is only bad at Marketplace. If you don't mind strolling, then driving is a good choice.

Thanks for the response, that is what I figured, may just stop there on the way in to the resort and not check in until we are done at downtown Disney.

Although we always have a car at WDW, we usually only travel by WDW transportation while there.

DTD is always the exception to this. We usually drive there. Even while we were at POFQ last week, the kids and I took the boat to DTD while DH drove and met us there. That way we weren't dependent on Disney transpo to get out of DTD.
