I wanted to write something on the boards about the delicate subject of the War..

I noticed that not too much is being said about our situation. But want I wanted to express.. that my thoughts are with the young men and women over there. And for their safety.. I'm sure that there are many parents on the board who's young men and women are fighting over there..

I don't want this to be an thread where we voice "that we should or shouldn't be there" Although we have the freedom to express

I just want to support the Mothers and Fathers of the Service men and women.

My prays are with them and hope for the safty and quick return to home.

Cathy

I totally agree with you...

My thoughts & prayers are with our Troops of men & women over seas...as well as with the families here at home.

May God be with them...and us. :D

Cathy,

I am glad you started this thread. We all have our own opinions about what is happening in Iraq, but right now, the important thing is to support the men and women who are over there risking their lives.

I am keeping them all in my prayers and hoping for a speedy resolution to this conflict.

This subject hits close to home in our house. Our "babies" are in the military. Our thoughts & prayers go out to all our service personnel. God Bless them all.

My thought to your Babies.. although I don't have any of my babies in the Military... my is a NY Finest.. but I'm able to talk and see him every day..

Very well said Cathy. My boys are around the same age as the boys fighting for our freedom. I can not help but think of their parents and sibling and how they must worry. I pray for their safe return every night and thank God my are asleep under my roof. May God Bless Us All

We who do have babies over there do appreciate support and thank you for your prayers. I have one over there, a second one that will be before it is over with. The third is in a depate on whether to join now just to go. Plus I am waiting to here if my brother has to go again. He was there during Desert Storm.

For all who represent us here, and from all the other countries who have also sent their loved ones...here it is 2:05 am, and I still can't tear myself away from the TV..

I don't have anyone over there, mine are here and safe..my heart goes out to all of you who do..I pray for their safety each day as if they were all mine...and for the families who wait to hear they are safe...

That should be our only concern right now...supporting our troops...period..

Our thoughts and prayers are with our troops and with their families here at home. I grew up an "Army brat" and 25 years ago my mother and I would have been that spouse and child back home awaiting news, so the military families have been on my mind quite a bit.

Over on the Community Board a LOT of DISers have signed up on Operation Military Pride. People can sign up to receive the name and address of a service member to send care packages to them. Lauri and I have three names (be patient when you sign up; it doesn't automatically get back to you) and we're going to do some shopping this weekend. I don't usually post links like this here, but I'm including this one in case anyone here wants to help out.

We will keep all those in our armed forces and their familys in our thoughts and prayers.
