Good afternoon all,
I haven't been on for a while as we had a bit of a problem yesterday. It was really windy yesterday and the tree in our back garden split down the middle and nearly blew over!! We had to cut it down before it fell into the house!!

OK, time to catch up on about 20 pages before I make dinner.

ok need some advice here. i am up to my ears in boxes and scrubbing bathrooms etc. My son wakes up at 10 am and proceeds to go outside and play with friends. I tell him that he hasn't done anything to help with the move and he says hs friends are moving soon (both within 2 weeks) and won't see them again. and their mother isn't making them pack!! I told him that his parents are having the air force move them and they don't have to pack unlike us. He says "i'll get it done" now my dilema, should I be a meanie and make him come in and at least keep Lauren out of my hair?/ Or should I be "nice" mom and let him play with his 2 friends that are moving? I know I am not doing him or me any favors here. Teen boys-ugh!!

My hair... agh, I hate it!! It used to be really short in the back. My best friend used to say it was a backwards mullet! Now only if I knew what the heck that was!!

I did a little scrapbook on our last trip. It's actually a fancy autograph book I decorated most of the pages before I left. A 2-page spread for each character.....one side had a spot to put the picture after I get it back, and the other side had a spot for the autograph. Abbie LOVES it, and the characters did, too! Said they'd never seen anthing like it, and took extra time to talk to Abbie and Walt since they knew from looking at our book that it was kinda important/special to us I'll see if I can get some decent pics of some of the pages.... It's very simply done, easily accomplished by anyone! Barely took any time at all to put together....well, it took some time, but only because there's 52 spreads!! But easily done

As for my big scrapbooks....the past 9 years of married life and 3.5 years of kid-life seem too overwhelming to me and I get very discouraged when I think about doing those books Just can't seem to get a handle on where to begin! But the little scrapbooks, I like. I've made several for gift albums and find since they have a contained theme, a definite beginning and end, I can break them down and get them done

The die-cuts are for accents. You can put them on plain, you can put writing on them if they're big enough (like where/when/who in the picture), you can "journal" on them if they're big enough (tell the story of the page of pictures), you can decorate them to make them prettier, whatever!! You really just have to jump in and play around with it. Look at others' pages to get inspired.

Here's a Disney album you can see online. NOW NOTE: This is a regular size album...12 x 12....so it has a lot more on each page than you'll be able to do. But you can see how die-cuts, papers, stickers, can be used

Ideas for a small album:
--autograph album...Abbies is called "My Disney Friends"
--"Our Favorite Disney Moments"--each person gets a spread or 2 to describe their favorite moments at Disney...accompanied by pictures, tickets, fastpasses, anything you saved
--"Look How We've Grown"--pics over the years of your kids in the same spot or with the same characters....we always take photos of everyone on the carousel...so we could do those over the years and watch the kids grow up
--a family photo album...use it to display all the family photos you've taken over the years in the parks
--"We're a Disney Family"--how is Disney a part of your everyday lives? Bet the kids have movies...shirts....costumes....themed bedrooms....home decor. Can also show how you save for the trips, plan them together, etc....

Hello Everyone! Thanks so much for all the well wishes, hugs and PD! I think that's why they released me...all that PD floating into the emergency room door!

I really do appreciate everyone's nice words. And, even though we don't know what caused my lil episode yesterday, and we don't know what it was exactly, all the test results have shown that it, whatever it was, it was NOT a heart attack, so that's the good news. All of my tests came back fine. So, now, I'm home and I have to make the appointment for the stress test, and that will be the last result we'll wait for.

As to how I feel, I feel fine now. It was just weird and scary, and I'd never felt anything like that before. All of a sudden, my whole body felt slammed...cold sweat, my hands went weak, my chest got tight and painful, blah, blah. And so, I walked down to the closest ER and I think when you list your symptoms and it seems like possible heart attack, you GO FIRST! Remember that! If you sprain your ankle or something, just say "chest pains", and then you can clarify later once the doctor starts looking at you that it's really your ankle. Hahaha!

Thanks again for the well wishes for both me and my poor Rick, who I worried sick! But I'm home now! Feeling like plain ol' Joe.

kadaten thanks for the advice/links and such. Guess what I did today! I went to Wal-Mart and decided to browse through their craftbooking stuff and bought another album, a bunch of stickers and other stuff. Yes it's all acid-free, DHB already told me about that. Oh and a thing which holds all the stickers and what-not. If there's one thing I am sure of - this stuff will be organized!
