I've gotta add my two cents on Big Tom's behalf.....I know it was a game but Rob made some pretty bad comments about Big Tom's son to the cameras that were unnecessary. ANd because it was to the cameras only, none of the other survivors could have been swayed by it and Rob had to have known they would show the clip later when the show actually aired so it wasn't really part of the 'game', ......just a show of plain and simple disrespect. Big Tom and his family definitely deserved the apology from Rob.....and who even knows if the apology they got was sincere

I'll agree there were quite a few whiners there last night who just didn't understand it was a "game" but it did break my heart to see how hurt Kathy was, especially since she did vote for Rob in the end, out of pure friendship, or at least, the HOPE of pure friendship.....

And what was up with Jerri...the biggest whiner of them all.....I guess she didn't get the guy(Colby) again!

BTW, you can also get great room rates as a Disney Visa holder...often better than AP discounts. We got POFQ at $85 with the visa discount three weeks ago. (You do not have to charge the room on the visa, FYI.)

Yes [COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniTreaD[/COLOR], I did take some photos..with a little disposable camera...and just a couple of snaps of the castle. But I hope they come out OK. The jackaranda (sp?) trees are all in bloom and it was very beautiful. Sunday we did a lot of 'savoring'. Got there at opening, did the favorite rides, breakfast at Carnation Cafe on Main Street some more favorite rides then slowed down and enjoyed just being there (we had to catch Super Shuttle by 4pm to fly home). Spent a long time sitting at a table in the shade in New Orleans Square (my favoriate part of DL) sipping mint julips and watching the people go by. They had given out carnations to all the moms who were there at opening, so everyone looked extra festive

Danauk Congrats on getting the part (WE knew you would ) Sound of Music is one of my favs!

BTW, NO MORE [color=0066FF]T[/color][color=CC0066]A[/color][color=00CC66]G[/color][color=00BFFF]L[/color][color=FF1493]I[/color][color=FF6600]K[/color][color=FFCC00]I[/color][color=9900FF]N[/color][color=00FF00]S[/color] are allowed to require rushing to the hospital! Is that understood? Oh, and [COLOR=FF0033]cadburysmom[/COLOR], it was a little HOT in the afternoons, but a nice breeze most of the time. Didn't see the Snow White show because they started lining up way early, the line was in the sun and after my three hour wait for TOT, I was DONE with long lines for this trip!
We did do a side-by-siide comparison of the left side/right side lines at the Matterhorn.....left side did seem faster/sharper/wetter that the right.

ohanafamily, a detailed report on TOT will be coming tonight...there is a new special effect, that is WAY COOL!

And, finally for this morning, Nieceosaurus, I wish you could have been with me yesterday. When we stopped in the princess store in the castle, your favorite Cinderella was there sitting in the back corner with little children sitting on the floor at her feet and with the help of the pages from the castle, she was telling and acting out her story of the glass slipper. The page was a very funny young man who acted out all the other characters in her story. It was so delightful and such a lovely surprise to just 'discover' her there......I thought of you the whole time!

I survived Mothers day. My mom is a Sagittarius. She's painfully honest--even when she doesn't need to be. She only said two things to my DMIL yesterday that made me cringe. And luckily one of those those things was bad enough that I had to kick her under table. (No--actually I didn't kick her under the table, I hit her in the arm when DMIL wasn't looking. )

Well I looked for a baby picture this morning, and mine are lousy. I know my mom has some decent ones. Maybe I'll get one from her. Or I can send a toddler picture.

I did find that picture of me from 1981 with the gym shorts and the bad perm if anyone wants to see it. I have peds on, so tube socks must have been out of style by summer of 1981.

.....and yes, the Melting Pot was as wonderful as ever.....they had a special Mother's Day menu that included the yummiest salad - poppyseed dressing, toasted almonds, dried cranberries over mixed greens- to die for! I really liked the California salad before but this is my new favorite just wish I got to eat there more often

I wanna see. Oh and I was thinking this am about you and the lopsidded bob. I remember in senior English class, a student teacher had that lopped cut. We ALL teased her. She was probably about 5 yrs older, making her the same age as you Barb and I am betting it was around the same time frame when you said it was "IN". It must have been an early twenties style, because it wasn't an "IN" style for any HS kids.

Ya know--I'm finding it a bit disturbing how willing I am to make an *** out of myself.

Okay, this was the summer of 1981. I was "sweet" 16--bwhaaaaaaaaaa! The guy with me was one of our church youth group leaders, Eddie. We were on our way to a national Lutheran youth convention-type thingie at Perdue University.

Although I don't think I was looking my best in this picture, I have to laugh 'cause back then I thought I could loose a few pounds.

Don't worry about the confusion! I had a business trip on Friday to LA.....so spent the weekend at the DLR....Tower of Terror opened 'officially' at DCA this week, so since I am now of TOT fan...had to go try it.. I'm done traveling now...have to save up my $$$ for October (OK, maybe one long-weekend getaway to San Diego before the summer is over.)

HEY, GUESS WHAT? I'm at home today....called in sick...major headache and some flu like symptoms (I think it was the KFC I had for dinner last night....or just three days of eating off program!) I MUST get back on track with the 'realising my inner athelete' plan. I want 40lbs OFF by the time I see you [color=0066FF]T[/color][color=CC0066]A[/color][color=00CC66]G[/color][color=00BFFF]L[/color][color=FF1493]I[/color][color=FF6600]K[/color][color=FFCC00]I[/color][color=9900FF]N[/color][color=00FF00]S[/color] in Oct. I start an actual training program (very mild to be sure) now and start serious marathon training in Sept.

MIL is taking her med's today for the pain and resting. She will see the doc. in the morning. It would really suck to have to go to the doctor today with it being her birthday. If she feels up to it DH is going to take her to a movie after dinner.
