Ok, here is another stupid question. :rotfl2: What does DD & DM stand for? I'm guessing maybe Mom and Dad b/c of the 25th anniv trip.

::yes:: Yeah it's for mom and dad! :goodvibes Is there another thing for them? Cause I know there's DBf is Dear boyfriend and DS is Dear son.

I'm still learning the lingo... :confused3

Anywho, we have a pop-up camper and while it is definitely a step up (literally!) from a tent, it doesn't do much to keep out noise. You really need a hard-side camper for that (and white noise!:rotfl: ). And try as we might to stablize the thing, I feel every single move that my kids make on the other bed end....Rolling over, fixing a blanket, sitting up. Ugh!

.

I know just what you mean about the movement of the pop-up. Every time someone moves when sleeping, I wake up. It's surprising how much the thing can shake.

I have a camper in the back yard that belongs to my uncle. But we's have to shove him out of it for a week. . .

:lmao: Just trade with him for the week.

LegoMom - My friends DH snored so loud, I heard him from the next campsite through all the other noises. He told me he was trying to drown out the drunk golf carters. I was surprised that went on at Disney too. Actually, I was surprised by a lot of the behavior of people on the golf carts. During the day, one family got in two carts and raced each other around our loop. My DD and her friends were riding their scooters on that road, others were trying to ride bikes. Another family rode by taking the turn so quick I heard one kid say they were about to fall off. About 15 minutes later, we saw an ambulance go the direction they were. I told my friend I bet it was for that kid, they probably hit another turn and lost him. (no proof, just my guess based on the dangerous driving.)

Belle - welcome to the group! I'll have to check out your fandub. I edit and produce videos for a living. I would have loved to have done stuff like that when I was first starting out.

That would be awsome if you got to see some snow. I saw another foot of it fall yestersay. You could always come visit me and the Buicks if you want to partake in some winter fun.

Believe me even an inch will shut this place down. I know some of you are sick of it and rightfully so. But just to see a small amount would be so awesome. :goodvibes Now to go back and read everything else I missed. Ya'll have been chatty.

Thanks! And I hate to admit it, but even though I'm in my 20s, I have a HUGE crush on Sam Beckett!

Oh we all have people we dream about. One of mine is Captain Jack. pirate: I can't resist a drunken pirate. :rotfl2:

It's only January so I'm not sick of snow yet. However, the 24 and 22 below I could do without. I walked in the woods on the snowmobile trails today. It felt so warm walking I had to take my mittens and coat off. After those horrible temps, 30 seemed warm. :rotfl: The snow covered pine trees were beautiful. I wish I had a snowmobile.

Hmm. . .I don't think he'd mind us borrowing the camper, but I would mind his dogs being in my house. I have dogs, but they are part of the family. His dogs? Not so part of the family.

Smileybug, is it supposed to snow in your neck of the woods? We're supposed to get 2 whole inches. And you know what that means. . .our area will be closing down, lol.

It would be so difficult for my family to move into the hard winter areas of the country. We have nothing for really cold weather. I just can't even begin to imagine what 24 below is like. We have gotten into the teens one time this winter. For which I am very grateful for.

I am definitely sick of the snow...:headache: But then again, I'm also dying to move to Florida!:lmao:

Saw the coolest thing last night on the rail trail near here - there were a bunch of people with dog sled teams! We were driving by and noticed several trucks and the trail head was all lit up, and then we saw the dog teams (either getting ready to head out, or just getting back). Now THAT would be a cool thing to do in the snow!
