Sadiedog: I don't envy your job. Hope it comes together for you real soon!

Thanks, I hope we can get the hallway and kitchen ready to paint soon too. I was about it tears trying to get wallpaper off without ripping layers of sheetrock.

I guess I'm the odd one out. I love home improvement projects. :confused3 I am so ready to get things going here.

I DO NOT LOVE any type of sanding that causes me sinus problems and sheetrock dust is HORRIBLE. I can not breath out of my nose and I have a pounding sinus headache. The mess it causes is AWFUL. Everything has to be wiped down and floors washed. Now I am going to go do the neti pot and take decongestants and ibuprofen. That should help. I need to do everything I can not to get a sinus infection from this. Wood dust also causes sinus problems. The actual painting is not the hard part, the prep work is much worse.

I'm sorry. I hope you get through it okay.

Thanks. If we only do the sanding 1 more time, I should be ok. I will have to leave while the sanding takes place and stay away for hours. Then I will come home and start the powder clean up. YUCK I do enjoy other types of home improvement projects like building a deck. Of course I must stay away from the area where they are cutting the wood. How is your new deck coming?

So DH and a couple of guys are moving the piano out of the house today (involves going down a flight of stairs to ground level; our house is a raised ranch). My BIL comes along and starts telling us about this card that he saw, that someone got, and it has this angry monkey on the front, and the inside says something about it flinging poo.....

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: Dude!....piano-moving is not an opportune time to start telling the people involved about something that funny!!!!!!!!

Oops, did I just drop your piano down a flight of stairs while I was laughing? :rotfl:

I'm just sitting here alone, cold and bored. I can't leave the house b/c I don't have a car. My daughter had to take it to work and she doesn't get out until 11pm. My son is still at my brothers and my husband is playing in a bar tonight over 60 miles away so he had to leave early. Oh and my dogs are dead to the world, snoring away. :upsidedow

So did the piano make it out okay?

Oh yes, it was fine! Fortunately they were not in the middle of bringing it down the stairs at the time, but just getting started.

Goodness SadieDog that is SO SAD!!...:grouphug:...well come chat here if you want to. I'll be around a little later on (DH just went out for Chinese food!).

We made some good progress today but tomorrow starts the real crunch. The furniture will all be moved out, the washer/dryer, and all the boxes out of the house. We're still sleeping here so we'll be camping out on the living room floor! Ah, the adventure of moving......

Your house will sure look different when it's empty. I bet it will seem odd.

After my last post, my computer froze AGAIN. It's so annoying. Somtimes it takes a long time to get back on.

I just got up. :rolleyes1 No one in my room at 5am gives me the opportunity to do that.

Hope ya'll have a great Saturday!

I wish I could sleep late! Even on the rare occasion that DS sleeps at my parents, I still wake up early. I think my internal mom switch is set to permanently on. Anyone know how to fix that? :lmao:

Hello everyone. We are working on the house which is not fun. I need to go finish cleaning up after working on sheetrock. My husband did the mudding the other day and finished some sanding. I am not supposed to be around that horrible mess. Terrible for my sinuses. Hallway is almost done then we can paint. I was trying to remove some wallpaper in the kitchen. Idiots who built in the 70's put it directly on the sheetrock. Removing it is damaging the sheetrock so I only removed what was peeling. Now more mudding to try to fix the damaged sheetrock. :sad2: UGH My daughter is finally cleaning her disaster area and my son is working in the woods with my brother. I'd rather work in the woods than what I am doing in the house.

I hope it goes fast for you, hon, and that your sinuses don't suffer too much.

I will laugh, but only if you tell me the piano is okay.

Aw, shucks! What can I offer to entertain you?

Okay, now that it's okay, I'm laughing.

I think your computer needs a good cup of hot chocolate and some blankets. :thumbsup2

I will be on the laptop in another day or so and it will be interesting to see how it does getting on the Internet! It can use the DSL, but it has a very slow processor and not much memory.

Nope. I'm up early no matter what. Must be a mom thing, like you said. Which stinks sometimes!!:rotfl:

My DH is fighting an awful head cold and he was up at 3:00am today making a cup of hot chocolate because he wanted something warm with steam! Certainly is an odd time to make hot chocolate, but what the hey!

Me, too. It's a blessing...and a curse. :lmao:

I know how he feels. My DH and I still have a nasty cold as well. Every time I try to go to sleep, my nose instantly clogs, and I can't get any rest. It's wee bit frustrating.

I am so jonesin' for some junk food right now. Very, very tempted to send DH out. :lmao:

Hey, I PMed you, when you get a chance. :goodvibes

Me too. I would love some ice cream and pop corn.

Oh, I'd love a variety of things.

A Cadbury chocolate bar.

Raw cookie dough. Any kind, although I do like chocolate chip.

A big ole sundae from Friendly's.

And I swear, I'm not PMSing, it's just this dang cold. :lmao:

Hmmmm, probably nothing you can put on the DIS Board. :rotfl2:

Or my computer could stand to be tossed out the window.

Mmmmmmmmmm This list is driving me crazy.
