Tag Question--various ways to get a tag

All of mine were Tag Fairy surprises from the very early TF days.

They were really surprises, because I usually stay in my own little corner, where I am not seen by many on the DIS. Couldn't believe I was spotted and tagged...not once, but three times!

Altho I would like to have something new, I'd never mess with my tags because I don't want to lose what the TF gave me.

The surprise factor makes them so much more special than if I had asked.

Now, to think of something witty and TF-ish to say......

I had probably 1000 posts before getting my first tag and I've also seen newbies with tags. Of course the more you post, the more likely you are to get a tag since you'll have more chance of getting noticed.

My first two came unexpectedly, the third one after HINTING that I'd like a colorful tag.. heehee.. some humor... I got a black one! Then my last one was just after that Not sure how many tags one can be given by those loveable Tag Fairies, but I say, LOAD US UP!

Yes, a black tag is very colorful....silly tag fairy! I had one tag that I liked--something like "typo queen". That one I got because I mentioned something about the tag fairy, but must have typed an "F" as opposed to a "T" and the word tag got bleeped. A very honest mistake (really, I wasn't name calling with the tag fairy, but you try saying "tag fairy" quickly 10 times!) and I earned that "typo queen" tag fair and square!

I didn't mean to come off begging for a tag. I understand they're randon...so is the lottery and I like to play it too I just love reading all the tags on the boards. Sorry if this was taken as begging for one. I love surprises and I can wait...I'm also patient.Oh and by the way I'm having some dental surgery done Tuesday...I would appreciate all the "pixie and or fairy" dust that you all could send my way. I wasn't nervous about it until everyone said how painful it was going to be

The whole tag thing does get a bit confusing. I was determined for years to not ask, hint, much less beg, but then didn't get one. I then hinted on a tag thread and got one. I'd previously read that the TFs do not want a person to ask or hint for a tag.

It's interesting to read how people got their tags and of course it's very fun to read other tags.

I have over a 1000 post..been here a long time and have never been tagged. I don't get it...I'm starting not to care. Maybe there is so secret passwork for a thread I don't know about ! lol! Oh well! I like my Go Flyers! Go Eagles! one I created myself.

I love the Tag Fairy stories. I always wondered what kind of wand a Tag Fairy would have? I haven't gotten one yet, maybe the Tag Fairy got confused with the tooth fairy and left it under my son's pillow. I'll have to check tonight.

Seriously, I love to read the tags and wonder how they come up with such clever quotes.

The thing about Tag Fairy tags is that they're addictive.

You don't have one, you envy the tags other people have, and you wish you had one yourself. And then suddenly, one day, WHOA! You've been Tagged! Like way cool dude!

And you look at your tag now and then to appreciate it. You'll even submit posts just to look at it. It's such a nice tag.

And then, after a while, you find that suddenly it's not enough. It needs a friend. You MUST HAVE another tag! Not just any tag, it HAS to be a TF tag. And you want it NOW! You'll do anything for it - whine, beg, bribe, you name it. You just HAVE TO HAVE IT!

They should be listed as a controlled substance.

I wonder if there's a 12-step program for tag addiction?

I wonder too, if there is help for those of us with "Tag Envy"? There must be, for if not there will be chaos. But, all things in moderation.

I believe in tag fairies also. Once you have been in a hot topic in debate land you somehow get alergic to them. I should have known though, go to the debate boad and there will be no tags Gallore. I do love this site though and I will make it to DW one day!
