for those of you who are in love with magic kingdom...let's say you wanted to do MK at a slow pace...spread over the course of 2-3 days. taking your time.

is there a certain way you would tackle this in terms of which parts of the park on which day?

for example:

day one - fantasyland and new fantasyland
day two - frontier land and tomorrowland

etc. any combination of areas that work best for organizing your days?

Adults?? Kids? Will you ride everything? We mostly do a full day and another 1/2 day and see pretty much everything. We let our little guy choose which ride he wants to do first and then choose the longer line rides early in the am and plan out our FP, but with magic bans you will already have that done. you will have plenty of time to explore the gift shops and all the extra little thing.....so nice.

2 adults (mom and dad)
2 daughters (8 and 10)

is everyone eligible to use the online fastpass plus system? it allowed me to make my choices but i've heard that you can only follow through with them if you get chosen to wear a magic band.

i think we will likely skip a few things here and there, things that won't particularly interest the kids, though i don't know what they will be yet. they aren't the kind of kids to want to ride every single thing they see - they would rather roam and play as opposed to ride things they know would bore them.

what would you say in terms of pairing your mk days? fantasyland and new fantasyland on a day together...save the other parks for a different day? i have NO idea what to expect because i've never been there.

We have 2 kids (2 and 4 at time of trip) and are planning to do MK in 2 1/2 days. The first day will be Fantasyland followed by Frontier land, the second will be Tomorrowland followed by Adventureland. The 1/2 day will be to go back and do whatever we want to repeat, see characters, etc. Last time we went we got there at rope drop and were able to do all of Fantasyland (old and new area) in the morning so that will be our plan again. We will also take some sort of in-park break during the day.

If you were able to reserve fast passes, you should be able to use them. Our touring plan will start in Adventure land one day and then Tomorrow land another day. We will get to the park at rope drop and be able to ride a lot in a short amount of time. I have fast passes set up for Belle, Peter Pan and Space Mountain for later in the day so that should work out for us. I expect that we will be able to make it through the park each day. We will be there for MVMCP as well so I'll leave it up to the kids to see what they want to do that night.

I love breaking up the MK into 2-3 days.

I always start at rope drop and that does make all the difference. Rides that will have a 35 min wait at 11 AM will have a 10 minute wait at 9:20.

I have younger kids, so I start in Fantasyland. Enchanted tales with Belle, then Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo and then work on the less urgent rides from there. If you have the ability to book FP+, that's great. Because I usually spend no more than 4 hours or so in a park at a time, I scheduled my FP+ for late morning, like 10, 11 and noon. I would use the later part of the window for that 10 AM FP+, so around 10:45 or so. On my FL day, I would use the FP+ for some Tomorrowland stuff: Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear and (maybe even use one for ETWB so you don't have to rush there first thing.)

The next day, I would start with Adventure Land. Hit Big Thunder Mountain first thing, Splash if you're into that. I would use late morning FP+ for a repeat of one of those, or Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise or POTC.

I would use the third day as a repeat/clean up day. Hit the things you didn't get to yet, repeat the things you want to repeat. Eat more yummy treats.

Check out these cheat sheets from Easywdw. They highlight the rides that are imperative to hit within the first hour, and which ones can wait until later.

would you bother booking fast passes for very early in the morning? we are arriving at rope drop. i booked a fast pass for like 930 - 1030...but if the ride lineups are short that time of day anyway, i suppose im better off using my fast passes later in the day? does that make any sense?

oh...and here's a good question i've been dying to find the answer to...

with fastpass plus, i can only book three fast passes a day. when those ones are all used up, can i book more fast passes or am i not allowed any more? i asked a cast member on chat and she didn't come right out and say it but i could tell she was hinting at no, since you are using your magic band you are limited to three. if i have my key card, can i get fast passes the old fashioned way, in addition to my fastpass plus?

1 day go straight to Fantasyland (both new and old) first and then wherever mood takes me after.
1 day go left first,
1 day go right first.

That is what I would do, anyway.

It depends.

If you are only going to the park in the morning, and plan on leaving around lunch time to hang out at the resort and chill, then have dinner then by all means use the FP+ in the morning when you're going to be in the park.

If you're going to be in the park until like 3PM , then use the FP+ later on. Lines are always shorter in the hour between 9-10 AM than the hour between 1-2 PM. So, it's smarter to use FP+ during the busier time.
