Depends on who you ask, I would just call up the direct phone number to Tables in Wonderland and see if they will sell you one, the restrictions on resale owners has been very unspecific. Just be honest and let them know your are a DVC owner, because you are. Also, ask for one of the hard plastic cards and for the card to be activated for the first day of your trip.

When we went, the CM had to see my DVC card and ID. I believe if you order it, your year starts from when you place the order unlike an AP.

I think if you call in and order a card, they can make the activation date for what ever you want it to be.

Hi. I have another question about TiW.
We have DVC and AP. I think the AP gives 20% on some meals, not including alcohol.
The TiW also gives 20% but includes alcohol. The only reason I would want the TiW, with my AP, is if I thought I would
be saving $150 on alcohol my next three trips, is that correct?

Thank you.

Not many places give 20% on meals for aps. Its usually 10%

Yes, be prepared with your digital membership card and you will be allowed to purchase. Technically, DVC members are not allowed to purchase over the phone. Some folks swear they have been able to, but evidence is lacking.

In general with the TIW card, you need to spend about $750 in food an alcohol to break even. Its nice that it also works in many of the lounges. If you have a car, you also get free Valet parking.
If you have an AP, makes things less clear. You already have a 10% discount, so the extra discount with TIW is only 10% plus alcohol. Generally you would need to spend $1200-1500 to break even if you count the AP discount.
In the end, if you are going for 3 weeks, eating at Signature Restaurant, will have drinks with meals or at the lounges, you most likely will come out ahead.
It has made sense for us the last few years. Except for the year they gave 20% with the AP discount.

We have always come out ahead with two trips but haven't gotten TiW in a few years so I know the price has gone up and we usually don't have APs.
We enjoy nice restaurants and drinks. I'll have to figure this all out but with three trips I think we have a good shot LOL

TIW will have more locations that the other discounts will not cover. Also it is good for 13 months, so you don't need to cover all the cost in one trip. AP is the holder + 3, TIW is good for 10. And as mentioned it includes adult beverages, and everyone knows how over priced Disney drinks are.

I am resale and live on the TIW! We save a ton of money with it. We tend to have a few more drinks when on vacation.....:drinking:

That’s where it really helps but if I add in the extra from the food, it’s definitely worth it!

I called TIW directly and they said not available to those who bought resale

What was the context of that conversation? The folks on the phone really don’t know or care about the difference, but if you make it seem like there should be a difference, then they’ll confirm your expectations.

I would just call and ask to purchase and not ask anything about resale.
I thought I had to go to GS in a park or DTD to get the TiW. Is this not correct?
Good luck!
