If I upgrade our tickets to annual passes, can I buy TIW at the same time and start using it immediately? Do you buy it at the ticket booth where you do your upgrade? TIA

I purchased the TIW card at Town Hall inside MK. I don't know if you can buy one at the ticket booth. and yes, you can start using it as soon as you have it in hand. I love the TIW card! It's saved me a bunch of money over the years

I'm pretty sure you have to buy TIW at the Guest Services at the parks or DTD, not at the ticket windows. But you can also upgrade your passes there. There are Guest Services areas both inside and outside the gates of all four parks, plus one at DTD and one at the International Gateway at Epcot.

You can purchase a TIW card at any guest services including the DTD locations. These are pretty much the same places where you do your upgrades and you can begin to use your TIW card right after you purchase it (which is nice). Once upon a time you could only purchase it by mail and then you had to wait for it to be mailed to you, but not anymore. Being able to purchase it at guest services is a great convenience.

I have a TIW question......I noticed that Raglan Road is on the list, with that being said can I go there at night to grab a few pints and get a 20% discount on drinks only with my TIW card? Also, when I travel in May I will be on the DxDP, can I use my TIW card in conjunction with the dining plan for 20% off drinks ordered? TIA!

Yes, you can get the discount on drinks at the bar. It does sometimes take a few minutes as they need a manager to approve it. I always let them know when ordering that I'm using the card. You can also use the TIW card along with the Dining Plan. Just let the server know. You will get a separate check for items not included in the DP and you can apply the TIW discount to that.

This does work, but just remember that the tip is going to be included on the TIW portion of the bill but no tip will be included on the DDP portion. It requires a bit of thinking to make certain you're not over- or under-tipping.
