We will be in WDW in November of this year. We are planning on getting annual passes when we get there. We are also DVC members.

As annual pass holders, will it be worth it to get the Tables in Wonderland Card since we already get DVC Discounts??

I am wondering if you can use both discounts at same time'
As far as I know there are no double discounts.

Personally I find the DVC discounts very limited since most of them are restricted to lunch. TIW while pricey does give you more discounts. It is good for most table service restaurants on property. It is also currently valid at the CS locations in Animal Kingdom. Also it can be used at the food courts of the resorts that do not have TS places, all three All-Stars, Pop Century, Port Orleans French Quarter & Saratoga Springs. The only drawback is they will automatically add on the gratuity at all TS which I think is currently 18%. The discount does apply to alcoholic beverages.

You can't stack the discounts.

TIW is accepted at more places than the DVC discount is.

I don't think the AP discounts are as much of a percent off and I think they are mostly for lunch.
We got the TIW card on our quick 4th of July weekend trip a few weeks ago and the card has already paid off & then some and we still have a week in November and next April. It paid off getting it for us, but we did 2 signatures & 1 regular TS for dinner (ordered apps & alcholic drinks), 1 TS for lunch, 1 TS for breakfast & once at the bar at the contemporary. So for us it paid itself off and then saved us money. I would just see where you are going to eat and see if it will work for you.
It also helped with having the AP & DVC cards, we were able to get 10% off in most stores too for drinks (water bottles) & souveneirs.

We get the TIW card at the same time as our SO and we find the TIW is the much better deal for us than our Dvc discount. However, if we go somewhere that doesnt accept TIW it might take dvc! It really depends on your eating habits and how many days you will use it during the year.

I debated the same thing a few weeks ago. We decided to do TiW. We wanted to take the baby to a character meal so I considered Garden Grove since it's 20% off for DVC but the breakfasts are only on the weekend and it didn't work well with our schedule. Some of our meals are at lunch and both discounts are available so it was toss up...get the 10% off DVC or pay the $75 and get 20% off. :confused3 Since we are a big party and no matter whether we have discount, pay OOP or use DDP we have the automatic 18% gratuity so that made no difference in our decision. The fact that the TiW applies to drinks too did make us lean toward TiW. We don't drink a lot in WDW, but the few we have are expensive so any discount is good!! I have to have at least one pina colava with dinner! Plus there were some places we really wanted to try that DVC doesn't have discount for. Good luck with your decision! It's a tough one!

The DVC discounts are pretty limited, and as another poster mentioned you cannot stack discounts. We have been purchasing the TiW since it became available for AP holders. We love it. It easily pays for itself in one of our visits, and we normally use it for 2 (this time 3!!:cloud9:) trips.

Sorry to hijack but you can still get the TIW at Guest Services when you arrive, correct?

We love using TiW... it's easy to spend $100 at some TS restaurants for a whole family - seeing that instant $20+ off is fantastic!

And don't forget that it's useful at some CS locations too - value resort food courts, food court at POFQ, and AK CS restaurants... when you have a family to feed, food costs can add up, so if you stay at value resorts or POFQ and use the card for breakfast each morning, dinner, snacks, etc., the savings really multiplies quickly!

We are getting our new AP when we go in Jan and I have decided that we will also get the TiW card to use toward all of our Character dining.

Can someone tell me where exactly do I go to purchase the TiW card? We are not staying on site.

You can purchase the TIW card at the Guest Relations window at each park. Not the regular ticket windows.

Thanks so much. Want to be sure I know all that info before I go so I have a plan. Don't want to be wasting time trying to figure it out when I get there.

I so appreciate your help.

To save yourself time just go directly to the Guest Relations window instead of the regular ticket window for both the AP's & the TIW card. I'm not sure if the regular ticket windows can do the AP's but they can do everything for you at the same time at Guest Relations. There is a Guest Relations desk at Downtown Disney but I don't know if they do the TIW card there as I've always gotten mine at EPCOT.

Yes, DTD Guest Relations will sell you a TIW membership.

Definitely worth getting the TIW if you are visiting again within the next 12 months. This is what we usually do when we get the TIW with our DVC annual passes.

On two occasions, we used the TIW for V&A which definitely paid for itself in the end.
