$75 for AP holders, $100 for FL residents. Value of course is subjective. My family really loves it because we do not do the DDP.

You can only get the card if you are a Florida resident or an Annual Pass Holder. For an AP holder the cost is $75 for the first card and $50 for each additional card in the family. I think the cost is $100 for Florida resident w/o AP - but don't quote me on that. I have the TIW card, I bought it w/ my AP in April. I have already recouped the price I paid for it. I have used it at 1900 Park Fare dinner, Garden Grill dinner, Chef Mickey's dinner, The Plaza dinner, and Lunch at Flame Tree BBQ. Plus it saved me 20% of the custom cake I ordered for the dinner at 1900 Park Fare. For us it was worth it - we are going three possibly four times in the year that our AP's and TIW are good for. We are staying club level and will only be getting the QSDP so we will pay OOP for sit down meals. When I ran the numbers the TIW card was a good deal for us. You basically get 20% off all Table Service Meals and the QS restaurants at AK.

If you pay the AP price ($75), you must purchase at least $375 worth of food and beverage (before tax and tip). I think the card is good for 13 months from date of purchase (I bought mine last Sept and it expires 31 Oct). If you pay the FL resident price ($100), your break even point is $500.

If you frequently eat TS, make multiple trips per year, or like to dine at signatures (where it really adds up), it's defiantly a good buy. I made my money back in just 2 short trips!

Bonus: it's good on alcohol and can be used for up to 10 people in your party.

Here is a working example, using $100.00 as the original bill to make the math show up easily. Note this is for Table Service. At Counter Service there is no gratuity added.

100.00 - Original Amount
*20.00 - Discount
*80.00 - Subtotal
*18.00 - Gratuity Added based on $100
**5.20 - Sales Tax on $80
103.20 - Final amount charged, takes into consideration discount, gratuity and tax.

Without TiW Discount (and still figuring 18% Gratuity)

100.00 - Amount of Bill
*18.00 - Gratuity
**6.50 - Sales Tax on $100
124.50 - Total

$21.30 - Savings using TiW Card.

(Note - At Victoria and Albert's the added gratuity is 20% instead of 18%.)

It was worth it for us on this last trip alone. We finally ate at California Grill. The price for the 3 of us was $210 for dinner and I think $16 for drinks before in the lounge. And this was after the 20% off.

No you don't both need a card. It is good for parties up to 10. You only need one card.
The offer a second card at a discount, The only time I see there would be any value would be if you and DH went to different places and both wanted to eat TS and use the card. Then he would need his own card.

No you only need one card and yes it is for up to 10 people at the table, but the person with the card has to pay the bill...in other words if you were to do separate checks, only you would get discount.

Not quite correct. There has to be only one bill. However, any person at the table can pay the bill, not just the TiW Cardholder.

Also, at many restaurants, even with only one check it is possible to do split payments. But don't count on it.

Sometimes you may get a server who will split the checks for you while retaining the discount.

If I understand you, that is correct. When I was at Cali Grill I ordered a drink while waiting for my buzzer. Sure enough, the buzzer went off just as I got my drink. The bar server said he would close me out and bring the check to my table. He did so and I used my TiW card, got the discount, then used the TiW card again on my food bill. If I ordered more drinks they would have appeared on my food bill.

TIW discount is good on alcohol and on food. Whether or not a server needs to "close out" a pre-dinner drink tab is a separate issue, it has nothing to do with whether or not you are using the TIW card.

You can use the TIW discount on alcohol even if you are not eating a meal. We use it all day long on alcohol, lol. Hey, it's vacation! You can use the card as many times and as often as you like.

Just another confirmation on this...

I hold the TiW card, but we rotated on our one trip who would be paying for dinner. It didn't matter who paid, we always got the discount. This was even true with my fiance & I (when we didn't have the same last name...) Not a big deal at all.

As Cheshire Figments math shows, the savings add up pretty fast. Figure for a family of 4, it breaks even after 4-5 meals. So if you eat out once a day, or plan on doing multiple trips while the card is still good, its a no brainer. And depending on where you stay, you can do even better. Some of the resort CS take the card. So if you stay at All Stars, POFQ, or SSR, you can save on your CS as well.

You can purchase it at any Guest Relations window - at a park or DTD. You just need to have an AP - or you can buy your AP and the TiW card at the same time - that's what we did last month.

If you buy it over the phone or on-line, it is active as of the date of purchase. It's not like an AP where you have to activate the voucher. So there's no real benefit to getting it early.
