Hi,

Do you have to be a Florida resident to buy tables in Wonderland? Is it worth it for a family of 5 (now considered all adults) for 4 nights of Disney TS dining?

The meal plan would be $239.95 per night plus tax and tip and we are scheduled to have one meal outside Disney with friends.

I'm trying to budget $200.00 per day for 4 days including 1 TS per day.
Any help would be appreciated!

You need to be either a Florida resident or an Annual Passholder.
Only one person needs the annual passport. The cost for the TiW card for the Annual Passholder rate is $75. The belief is that you need to spend $375 in food/beverage costs to break even.
We love it, it works for us.

Only Florida residents and annual passholders are eligible for a TIW membership. You should also remember that only 9 CS restaurants on property accept TIW, and it's not good on major holidays. There are also two TS restaurants in the parks that don't accept it - Teppan Edo and Yak & Yeti.

Ditto all that was said above.

If you are trying to spend only $200, TIW wouldn't work for you, anyway.

After you spend $75 (AP) or $100 (FL Res), you'd only have $125 or $100 to spend on food for 4 days. The discount isn't that good ;)

They were spending $200 per day, a total of $800 for 4 days, not $200 for the whole trip. They would receive a discount on anything they spent over $375 (on discount - eligible purchases). The discount on the first $375 goes to pay for the membership. However, one adult would have to purchase an annual pass (from the original post I am assuming they are not Florida residents), which is not worth it for just 4 days in the parks. If they were planning to return within a year, it might work out better.

I think the value of it isn't how many days, or how much you'll spend on food. I think the deciding factor is how much you'll spend at TS (or TiW eligible) restaurants. To break even, you'd have to spend an average of $93.75 at each TS. You can increase the value by eating some of your CS, at CS eligible restaurants. Flame Tree BBQ at AK, for example. Also, where are you staying? Most of the (few) CS that are accepted are in the value resorts b/c they don't have TS restaurants. So if you are staying at a value, that could come in handy too (if you were planning on one of those CS meals being at the resort.)

While I think it might come close to being a toss up, if your family of five is likely to eat more than $100 at each TS, it would probably work out OK. But that is providing you already have an AP.

If you are a FL resident just purchasing TiW For $100, the break even point is $500, or $125 per TS.
