I am thinking of getting this for our trip in February and was wondering when it expires. Is it one year from when it is sent to you (if you order from home) or one year from you first use it? Also anything else anyone has experienced that may not be in the information I have found on it? Thanks for your help:thumbsup2

I think you can only get them at any Guest Relations Office at the Parks or DTD now. And they will be good until the last day of that month the next year.

The expire one year after you buy it at the end of the month. So if you purchase it Dec 15, 2009 it will expire December 31, 2010.

If you renew the TiW card, do you just keep the same card or do you need to get a new one at the park?

I purchased mine on 09/03/09 and it expires 10/31/10...

That has always been our experience too. We received that extra month when we used to order by mail and still have when we've purchased at the parks the last couple years.

You receive a new one. I do hand the CM my old one. I think it makes it easy to access the info. The CM gives the old one back when finished.

When you ordered by mail, was the expiration date centered around the time it is printed and mailed? I am asking this because I like to order things now and have all my ducks :donald:in a row before we go but I would really like to have the expiration closest to our trip in February so I can use it in Feb 10 and Feb 11 (and maybe a trip in between). Thanks again. This is all very helpful:thumbsup2

Yes, it is tied to when you purchase it not when you first use it. If you ordered today, it would most likely expire on 12/31/10.

If you wait until you arrive, it will probably expire 3/31/11.

If you're purchasing an AP or exchanging a voucher, there is really no advantage to ordering ahead of time. If you already have APs or are a FL resident, I would call in early-mid January if you prefer to receive it in the mail. Be sure to ask the CM the date of expiration. For a while, those renewing in the first week of a month didn't get the bonus month.

Of course, things could always change.:confused3

Sounds like my best bet would be to buy it when we get there. I will have to bring my AP renewal vouchers to be turned into tickets anyway so I can do it then. Thanks again!

You're welcome.:goodvibes Just be sure to go to a Guest Services window not just a ticket booth. The ticket booths can process APs but not TiW.

Happy dining.:cool1:

We just purchased our first TIW last week at Guest Services in Epcot. It took all of 5 minutes and is good until December 31, 2010. I would not do it first thing in the morning, though as we noticed the lines for Guest Services were very long with people trying to straighten out various problems. We waited until we were heading out of the park mid afternoon and walked right in.

I think we are going to get one this trip. We have done one dining plan or another before and really didn't think we would use it but now we mainly just pay OOP.
