Tables for larger parties?

I am coming up on my 180-day mark for our trip next May, so I went on the dining reservations site just to mess around & see how it works. We will have a party of 6, possibly 7.

When I went to make a reservation for a party of 7, I got a message on the last page before you confirm the ressie saying "Your party may be seated at more than 1 table." Got the same message when I tried a party of 6. Is this true, will we really be split up into different tables? If it makes a difference I was trying for Crystal Palace breakfast.

It just means the tables for 7 are filled. They can't guarantee you will sit together, but they do try. Best way to get your table is to reserve right at that 180 mark (we were a party of 8 last visit). Or book the 2 tables, and keep trying, things do open up....it's definitely harder the larger the party. Another suggestion is if you are not sure if you are going to be 6 or 7 book for 7 (so you don't have to worry about not having enough room at your table). Good luck!

I get that message when I book a table for 4 -- I think it's a standard message.

It's a standard message and has nothing to do with what's already booked. Certain restaurants just reserve the right to split your party if you arrive and everything larger is booked. It has to do with the way their tables are configured. I haven't seen the message come up for a 4 top, but I got the msg for 6 and 8 at certain places- Boma, WCC, and Akershus are coming to mind.
