This is really far in advance to be thinking about as my next trip isn’t until November next year.

But what would be some of the best table service restaurants to try? We will have the dining plans and want try some of the table service restaurants bc we have only ever done quick service

This will be a great experience for you because the TS eateries are usually much better quality than the CS locations. Generally we like the TS restaurants in the resorts the best. Three of the best TS resort restaurants are at AKL: Jiko, Sanaa, and Boma. Our favorite at the moment is Citrico's at the GF.

I am very excited about it. I forgot to mention one person in our party is slightly picky so would the places at AKL be okay for someone like that

Boma would be great. Their "exotic" dishes aren't all that weird and they have stuff like mac & cheese and nuggets for the kids anyway (though anyone can help themselves.) There are salads & desserts that aren't anything strange. The soups there are fantastic! They are different from the normal types of soup you eat at home but they are very tasty.

I think we may try that then. Is it buffet style for dinner?

That is a very open ended question.

Are there any types of food that you particularly like? Which dining plan will you have?

We are doing the dining plan with the 1 quick service and 1 table service. And we are going to be there a monday - friday. Most of use are big fans of Italian foods and places with steak. But we are open to trying new things that we wouldn't typically every day.

Tiffins, Sanaa, Yak and Yeti, Skippers Canteen, BOG dinner, The Wave, Kona breakfast, Ohana, Grand Floridian Cafe, Biergarten

Yachtsman Steakhouse, Boma for breakfast, Tusker House for breakfast, Cape May cafe for breakfast,The Plaza, Rose and Crown Pub, BOG Dinner, and 1900 Park Fare.

Yes it is! Makes it easy for picky eaters to avoid something out-of-the-ordinary and for more adventurous diners there's an interesting variety. The only downside to Boma is that it is huge and it is a noisy place. Not exactly a spot for a low key dining experience.

The thing about Italian food & steak at WDW is that you likely have better offerings on those items in your hometown. But if that's what your group likes you'll be fine with choices like Yachtsman Steakhouse and one of the Italian restaurants (we like Tutto Italia at Italy in Epcot.)

Going to throw out our must dos and then a few sporadic places
Must dos...San Angel Inn for great atmosphere and food, 50s PTC for fun and good comfort food, save room for a PB&J shake!
Breakfast Resorts...The Wave, Trails End, Kona, Olivias and Boma
Resorts lunch...The Wave, Kona, Olivias, Sanna
Resorts Dinner...Kona, Grand Fl. Cafe, Olivias, Boma
MK...Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch(PM meal is way too much food), Skipper Canteen
Epcot...San Angel Inn as mentioned, Via Napoli(Piccante Pizza is the draw for me), Rose n Crown, Nine Dragons(Honey Sesame Chicken, mmm), Biergarten for the atmosphere, band and some really tasty food
HS...50s PTC as mentioned, Mama Melrose(its not the best Italian on property, but has some unique dishes, neat setting with Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, etc playing in background)
AK...Not really a fan of eats at AK

These would be my picks for eating inside the parks...
MK - BOG (mainly for the experience, but the food is pretty good)
Epcot - Biergarten (buffet style German food with fun entertainment)
HS - Sci Fi (again for the atmosphere, but food is good and OMG the shakes are amazing!)
AK - Tusker House for TS and Flame Tree BBQ for QS

I think is true about every type of food. WDW has a few very good dining options, but every type of food I have eaten there, I have had better elsewhere

My favorite resort TS restaurants: Cali Grill, anything at the Grand Floridian (we have now tried them ALL!!), Kona Cafe, Flying Fish, Boma, Sanaa, Jiko, Artist Point.

Favorite park TS restaurants - a lot of character meals in there:
MK: BOG dinner, CRT (2 credits though), Crystal Palace breakfast, Skippers Canteen
EP: Akershus, Spice Road Table, Garden Grill
AK: Tusker House; will be trying Tiffins next trip...
HS: Nothing - we usually only spend a 1/2 day there

Thanks everyone! We are going to at least look at all of these before we make a decision
