Hi!
I couldn’t find this in a search, so sorry if this was asked and answered.
Can I get an estimate of how long I should plan eating at the followingTS restaurants?
Travel 8/22-8/28.
Will be me, DP and DS who is 12 (1 month till 13). Normally we take about 30-45 minutes to eat at a sit down at a restaurant at home. But most of the restaurants we dine at have quick service from order to delivering bill. I think that might be too fast for Disney but want to make sure.
We are planning to eat at the following:
Arrival:
dinner Cape May
Day 3:
Dinner Sanaa
Day 4:
Breakfast Trattoria al Forno
Day 5:
breakfast Crystal Place
Dinner Cali Grill
Day 6:
Dinner 1900 Park Fare or Morimoto
Day 7:
dinner Sci-Fi Drive In

Thanks in advance. 🥰

Cape May - it's a buffet, so the pace is really up to you. I would allow 60 minutes
Sanaa - 60 to 90 minutes
Trattoria - 90 minutes (we found the service here to be quite slow, plus it takes time for the characters to visit)
Crystal Palace - again, a buffet, so food service is really at your own pace. I would allow 60 - 90 minutes depending on pacing of character greets
Cali Grill - 90 minutes
1900 Park Fare or Morimoto - again, 60 - 90 minutes. Like the other character buffets, food pacing will be up to you, character pacing is a bit hard to judge. We found Morimoto's service to be quite slow particularly if you order sushi or sashimi as part of your meal.

For character/pre-fixe meals, if you'd like to cut down on some of the time, you can always ask for the bill as soon as you sit down so you don't have to wait for it at the end.

Any character meal I plan 90 minutes minimum. It usually doesn't take that long, but it can.

Non-character meals I usually pan 60 minutes.

None of these include times waiting to be seated.

California Grill is signature dining so I would allow at least 90 minutes for that. For the character meals, I would also allow 90 minutes even for the buffets. It can take a while for all the characters to circle around to you. There have been times when DH and I have been done eating and paid, but are still waiting on characters. There's been times we've left without seeing all the characters as well. For the other restaurants, I would allow at least 60 minutes.

I will say that I think these are over-estimations in most cases, usually our meals are relatively quick. But we don't like to rush and like to make sure we have a buffer in our plans if we're planning on something right after a meal.

Thank you all so much For the time estimates. Much appreciated. 🥰
