I am still hoping for a Mamma Melrose Dinner but if I can't get this what do you suggest 50's prime time, Sci- Fi, or going to boardwalk for spoodles or Big River Grill and Brewing works. Open for any other suggestions.:confused3

Umm I liked Sci Fi. We had lunch there. It was good.

I'm trying prime time in May. I have never been to the others so I can't help you with them.

Keep trying for Mama Melrose's. I did and I got it with the Fantasmic Package 2 weeks before our trip. The meal was wonderful!!

The only place we eat at in HS is 50s Prime Time. We really like it for lunch. Otherwise, I'd eat at Spoodles.

I eat lunch at 50s Prime Time every time I go to Disney. The atmosphere is fun for our family. The food is a little better than OK, but for lunch we dont expect out of this world fabulous. The atmosphere makes up for the standard food.

If you are eating for the meal and not the experience, just go to a counter service and save a few $$. I dont think any sit down at DHS is too great as far as food goes.

Have Fun!

We love the Sci Fi~ the last time we were at the 50's Prime Time we got a dud of a server and the experience just wasn't the same. :(

I'm too holding out hope for a fantasmic dining pkg but needed a back up plan...I did Hollywood and vines b-fast. How is the food??

Also our ressies are at 8:25 and we'll miss the rope drop. Can you get fastpasses before the attraction opens. I really wanted to do TSM right away but I don't think we'll be done with b-fast in time. Any advice about what to do for that??
Thanks!

Sci-Fi was the only TS that interested me in the Holywood park, so we went last trip. It was fine, just a little better than okay. The cars were a bit tight for us big people (I'm 6'5", 260). Mind you, Sci-Fi gets slagged a lot, but MY burger was tasty.

Only three of the Hollywood TS's really have a theme worth trying out, far as I'm concerned: The Derby, the Sci-Fi and the 50s. I always cut out the Derby cause it's monster expensive and doesn't get raves, and I cut out the 50s because too many people have said that their servers just weren't "into it."

Maybe TS really IS the way to go in this "two thirds of a day at best" park.

We've done every eatery in the park and absolutely LOVE Sci Fi and Mama's. We do them every trip.:goodvibes H & V is an "overpriced school lunchroom" experience. You practically sit on top of each other and the food is so/so. We loved the steak entree at The Brown Derby last summer and would consider doing that again sometime. our family did NOT like the Prime Time experience at all--our waiter bordered on rude, not fun:headache: and we were very put out. I'm a believer in trying every place so you can get a true feel for your preferences.

In our opinion, Hollywood Brown Derby is in a league of it's own at DHS. Unfortunately, the price reflects that. If you're on DDP, it's 2 credits.

We had our 1st meal at Sci-fi a couple weeks ago. We went for lunch & everyone got burgers. The kids got shakes, & we ordered onion rings to share. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I'm not sure I'd return there for dinner. (You'll see us at HBD that time of day. ;) ) We'll definitely return for lunch though.

We:lovestruc 50's Primetime! The food is really good and our servers have been great. Sci-Fi is good too but we have to go with 50's as our favorite!

Keep trying for the fantasmic package - we got it with just a couple of days before we left for WDW. If you are doing the DDP it is so worth it! It includes an app, main course and dessert.

50's Prime Time and Sci-Fi are the only two TS restaurants we've eaten at in DHS. Out of those two, I'd choose 50's Prime Time because the atmosphere at 50's is much better than Sci-Fi. I also think the food is better too.

Hope this helps.

I have wanted to go to the sci fi for years but....

we like the 50sPTC so much, we haven't made it yet!!

Have a great trip!!

We've done both 50's PrimeTime and SciFi. My preference is 50's PT..don't care for Scifi too much, although my dh likes it. I haven't been to Spoodles but the last time dh and I were at Big River Grille, we hated it...it was just not good.

I am by far an easily appeased person, but I did not like Sci Fi at all and definitely will not be returning.

I've eaten at all three with Sci Fi being the only repeat. On our last trip, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't our favorite.

As for 50's PT, our server was fine, she didn't overdo things and we enjoyed watching her pick on other people rather than have her pick on us. :rotfl:

As for BD, I remember it being tasty. But there was alcohol involved. :scared:

I say you couldn't go wrong with any of them.

50's PTC was great.:goodvibes The roast beef over mashed potatoes was awesome:worship: . Our server was mediocre but we loved the surroundings.:thumbsup2
