Hey

I have had a sudden hcange of mind after last night looking through Toni & Bobbys photos of the Attic and Carries photos.

I love the photos of how the reflections of the lights in the water in the dark look and the fact that its so close to SBP and so close to the DP in epcot- so pretty convienient.

I want to know; is there a lay out plan or table set up plan that anyone has for the Attic??

Or... how many tables there are and how many people are put to each table?

Do some people have to sit outside? Is the balcony big enough for everyone to stand outside and mingle?

We are looking at around 39 people for our wedding if thats any help??

I am only wondering this because i would like everyone say together inside the Attic.

Also, are you allowed to walk around on the Boardwalk for photos in wedding attire? Is the Attic more of an open venue or private and away from the public?

What are your thoughts on the perks of having a reception at SBP??!!

I am planning on having my reception at the Attic. Here is what I remember from my site visit. I am sure someone else will come along and correct my bad memory :rotfl:

It it is very private. You have to walk down a long hallway of guest rooms to get to it.

There are 4 people to a table. I believe 4 tables inside and 5 or 6 outside?? I think it holds 36 people at actual tables. So most people will have to sit outside unless they want to sit on the other couches and chairs around the room.

The balcony seemed pretty big but when I was there the tables weren't set up for some reason. I believe the buffet is outside as well.

It is really a great room and the view is spectacular. The pictures don't do it justice! We were there during the day and it is really bright and sunny.

We are planning on SBP and then the Attic and an Epcot DP. We picked the Attic largely because of the convenience of the location but we loved once saw it.

Hope this is sort of helped!

thats exactly what we will be doing SBP, Attic and DP! hehe!!

My only problem with it is seating people inside and outside? I mean, who do you choose to sit outside and those inside? Im gonna find it hard to seperate who to sit inside and who outside... i was hoping i could fit everyone inside... :goodvibes

I was worried about the same thing about who sits where but I have decided to let people sit wherever they want. The outside deck is really well covered so I am just hoping it is not too hot! ;)

If that doesn't work out I am probably going to have parents, etc sit inside and my brothers and the younger folks sit outside. I am going to have them set up a sweetheart table so that will free up two seats.

We had the parents and siblings sitting inside at the 4 tables there. The rest of the family was outside. We had our sweetheart table next to the door going outside so we could actually see and talk to everyone inside and out.

I know that I saw a layout of the Attic somewhere on here before. i can't remember where. I know the inside has 4 tables and the outside has 5 tables.

With 39 people, some will have to sit inside and some outside. We just let people pick where they wanted to sit, and since it was casual and a buffet, people moved inside or outside as they wanted to - no one was stuck at their table the whole time.

As for the sweetheart table - I felt the opposite of Toni... I didn't want to be seated in the doorway with traffic constantly parading in front of us. :rotfl:

The other reason we had our sweetheart table placed in the corner near the windows instead of the doorway was that in general it is hard to get good pictures in front of windows. Either there's a reflection, or the light's bad, or they have to put the shades down. And since good cake pix were WAY more important to me than shots of me and DH eating (of which there are none), the cake got the better photo location! :lmao:

Here is the Attic floor plan - note that it has been modified with our sweetheart table placed on an angle against the windows.

The standard floor plan has the table in the position where our cake table is shown, at the far left of the floor plan, inside the doorway:
