Table of 6, 2 Groups?

DDP Newbie.... We are traveling with my inlaws so will have a grp of 4 people and a grp of 2 people dining at the same table for TS meals (we have our ADRs).

Will the server 1) divide our check up by group or 2) give us two separate checks

so that we can keep track of and deduct from our own respective pools of credits? and how do we get charged for any extras on our separate room keys?

Does the server ask when you are seated? Do you have to tell them when ordering?

Then how is the gratuity dealt with? I understand that 18% is automatically added to parties of 6 or more - will they split that onto the two checks/or groups? Do they ask how we want it billed?

Tell the server when you are ordering who is in which group, and you'll get separate checks for each group.

The automatic 18% gratuity will apply to both (or all, if more than 2) checks, as long as there are 6 or more people at the table, regardless of the number of checks. You are, of course, welcome to add more if you feel the service warrants it.

Just tell the server you are on the Dining Plan - well, they usually ask and you can tell them you have 2 rooms. Each room will recieve a receipt and on the bottom of the receipt will have your remaining TS credit balance. Each room will have an automatic 18% gratuity (18% of each rooms total meal cost) added to their bill. You can either charge the gratuity to the room and pay for it when you check out or you can tell them you want to pay the gratuity in cash.

Tell them when ordering which meals should be on which check. You will get a check and the in-laws will get a check. Then each party will use a key card from their own room for payment.

Gratuity will be automatically added to each check.
