Dis you have your place cards made? do them yourself? Are you naming your tables or using table numbers? did you make those?

I have the cutest place card holders but not sure how to do the place cards or table numbers. I know I am rambling...help!

we made our own...table names were famous disney couples! :)

we didn't have place card holders, just made simple tents...

We bought place cards with our invites and we have little glass slippers as our place card holders. We are going to do famous Disney couples as our table names also. I bought 100 "glass" slippers for like $20. :thumbsup2 I love ebay!! :sunny:

I bought mine through floral, little cream coloured ones with a silver Mickey mouse on, and the name of the person seated.
Cannot remember costs, I wll dig out my budget sheet and post a picture too later today.

Katie,

If you want to call me I have a great person in Dallas that I am working with. She is quick and reasonable. I know that all of this stuff was just one more thing that I didn't have time for. It is really nice to have someone else do it.

Send me a PM. The website for this girl is www.asimplenote.com

I love the idea of using famous Disney couples for table names....that seems like a way (to me at least) to add a simple Disney touch to your wedding--and it's adorable!

hi katie, your disney weddings almost here :) yeah!

we named our tables with our centerpiece themes, our sweetheart table the sea of love & our guest tables, mermaid lagoon, pirates cove, finding nemo, atlantis, paradise & the lighthouse. ill post pictures later as the photos make more sense than my descriptions aka a pirate ship as the pirates cove table. for the placecards we had silver frames & i printed the placecards on our computer with the guests name & a picture of the tables theme aka john smith, a picture of nemo & the tables name. they turned out really cute & everyone commented on how creative & personal everything was.

We are naming our tables after movies we both like with a romantic quote from each of them underneath. We are going to spend WAY too much money and get a seating chart and room diagram from Impressions. Our place cards are actually going to be dark chocolate with the person's name in white chocolate with an Ariel medallion on it. We are getting them through floral and they are costing an arm and a leg. BUT, they are totally worth it and act as a fun favor as well. I think we're planning on making our table names, rather than ordering them as well. A simple picture frame and a nice font should suffice.

Although we did not have a Disney wedding, we did have an amusement park theme since we met working at our local amusement park. Our table number holders were carousel horses made by DH's parents. We named the tables after rides in the park we met at. Our grandparents all sat at "The Old Mill", our church friends sat at "Noah's Ark", our engaged friends sat at "Pittsburgh Plunge", etc. It was fun and slightly amusing.

KT27, I see that your wedding has just passed. I hope it was lovely.

I'm too late to help you, but maybe I can help someone else. I will share in my next post what was done for my vow renewal.

I had Disney take care of the place cards and table cards. I even had them come up with the names for the tables since I hadn’t put any thought into that.

Before I go any further, I should warn everyone that my dinner reception was slightly on the unusual side since it was a progressive party that spanned three different venues.

Cocktail Party: Since this was very informal, there were no table cards or place cards. Cocktails and appetizers were served inside the Gangster Area of the Great Movie Ride attraction.

Dinner Party: There were no table cards since everyone was seated at one long, Roman-style table. However, there were place cards and menu cards. Dinner was served inside the Western Area of the Great Movie Ride.

Dessert Party: There were both table cards and place cards. Dessert was served inside the Land Of Oz Area of the attraction.

Here are a few photos that show what Disney did for my vow renewal:

At each place setting sat mini-cake, pair of ruby slippers, and mini-purse filled with Runts candy that was topped with place card

Again, everything was handled by Disney. They did a beautiful job. I hope that helped.

Congratulations on your wedding!!!!!!! :teeth: :groom: princess:

I named each table after a fruit of the spirit or adjective in the Bible, such as joy, love, trust, faith, wisdom, etc. :)
