Table linens

[Southern4sure]

My christmas present was a new dining room table. Seats 8 but is 54 x 54 square. I cannot find any tablecloth anywhere in this size. Any suggestions on where to look? I have exhausted Bed, Bath and Beyond, LinensNThings, Walmart, Kmart, JCPenney and Sears.

I was surprised to find you're right about the chain places not having anything to fit. There are a number of things that measure 52X52 but that's way too small. Ebay has a listing of damask cloths in several colors that measure 60X60 that may do. If the table itself actually measures 54X54 you've got to have some overhang but I didn't know how much you wanted. Take a look at item #6238876313 and see what you think. There are quite a few more....that's just the first I saw.



After looking back at other posts, I may have misunderstood what you're asking for. Does the TABLE measure 54X54 or do you want a CLOTH to measure 54X54?

I finally found one for my hard-to-fit size at Target. They really did have the biggest selection of sizes.

I have a 54" round table and it is very hard to find a table cloth for it. I can occasionally find a 70" round which works, but mostly they are 60" rounds and they are too small. If I want to extend the table, 6 leaves, I can't ever find a table cloth that is wide enough. Some banquet supply stores have them but they are plain, usually white, and not something you would have on there as a decoration.

I have just gone to using table runners.

My table measures 54 x 54. I didnt think about Ebay, thank you for reminding me. I took a quick look and I may be able to fine an everyday linen.

Here's a site I found that offers 85" square tablecloths (that'll give you a 15-1/2" overhang). They do custom sizes also.

There are some square tablecloths on the Williams-Sonoma website if you like French Country style. Square dining room tables are becoming more and more popular so hopefully there will be a bigger selction of table linens soon.
